Since submitting this review over a year ago, I have faithfully enjoyed the superior quality of Peanut Shop of Williamsburg peanuts. Only once did I "stray from the fold," and ordered some Feridies peanuts recently from Amazon. I committed a grievous error in doing so. In retrospect, I realize I should have not been so quick to submit an Amazon review, extolling Feridies as being even better than Williamsburg: this was a "snap-to-judgment" decision on my part which was clearly erroneous. I now recognize that Feridies is NOT nearly as delicious a brand as is Williamsburg, and my recent receipt of another order of Williamsburg nuts -- which I have used as a comparative taste-testing with Feridies nuts I still have in my cupboard -- has re-substantiated my firm belief that Williamsburg nuts are simply the very, very best peanuts you can buy. As a result, I returned to my recent Amazon review of Feridies, and downgraded my grading of that brand from 5 stars to 3 stars. As for Williamsburg peanuts, if i could give them a grade of 10 stars, I would do so: they are that good, and I shall never deviate from purchasing them again! They are, as noted above, unquestionably THE BEST peanuts. Period.(PREVIOUS REVIEW, FROM JAN 2012). I am a hard-core aficionado of peanuts. In the shell at baseball games and football games; salted and unsalted; and all varieties and all manufacturers. I eat peanuts every single night. I have tried virtually ever popular brand out there, from mundane Planter's to Costco's Virginia, to Aunt Ruby's. No other type or brand of peanut can begin to compare with these. They are almost impossibly delicious.I shall order these from Amazon FOREVER.As usual, Amazon rocks! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg versus Royal Oak Virginia peanuts *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 10, 2013* I bought both the Royal Oak and The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg VA peanuts to find out which I liked better. I found that both are large fancy peanuts that are of better quality than those found in supermarkets. The Williamsburg peanuts have a heavier salt coating than the Royal Oak brand. The Royal Oak peanuts are slightly larger, dryer, and crunchier. The Royal Oak version comes in 40 oz. tins versus The Peanut Shop's 32 oz. tins. I am pleased with both brands, and I would be pleased to receive either as a gift. I like the taste of The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg brand slightly better, because my personal preference is for a saltier, more traditional, roasted peanut. The Royal Oak's are crunchier and larger, almost like dry roast peanuts. Both brands are satisfying and addictive. YOUR personal preference will dictate which YOU like better. Both are excellent products, which are well worth buying. I first tried these at my family members house and went straight home and bought these. I am a huge peanut fan and once i tried these i said to myself i will never buy another nut. it is very delicious and very addicting. I love how fresh they are and how big the nut is. I highly recommend you buy these if you want to change your life for the better. They are amazing!!!I realize how important a good review is to a buyer.
