Never add sugar or any sweetening product at all. It isn't needed. Sometimes I let the tea bag steep for a long time before consuming the tea. If it seems to rich and intense, then I simply add more water to thin it. We have been used to the amazing, naturally sweet cinnamon tea in tin for a few years now, and the plain kind in box was wretched compared to sweet kind in tin!
