Great kids tablet
My son has had this for a while now. Perfect size. Isn't to big or heavy for him to carry. The case it comes with has a handle he uses to carry it. Its lasts a long time.

Love it!
I bought three of these for each of my children. I really appreciate the 30% off deal they provided when buying two or more tablets. This made it so much more affordable for us. I really like this tablet. It is made really well and I love the large interface. I also like the option to opt out of the Amazon Kids videos subscription although you are required to first download it before it can be removed. You have to go back in the parental settings and block it if you want it removed from the device. Although there are a lot of great age appropriate shows on the Amazon kids subscription, there is some content we don't approve of so I like that this is not a requirement for the tablet to function. The good thing is, you can still set up profiles for your children and still have lots of parental control options even without the Amazon Kids app. Futhermore, there are no instructions included with the tablets about how to set up the parental controls, however it's pretty easy to figure out and there's tons of online helps that walk you through it. I would definitely recommend this tablet. My kids are 5, 6, and 7 and it's perfect for these ages.

Great tablets so far + Kids app compatability (ABCMouse) fixed
I bought two of the new age 3-7 tablets for our boys to learn on. Our 5 year old is at level 5 on ABCMouse and our 3 year old is just starting level 1 on the new tablet. To our concern, ABCMouse did not initially show up as being compatible with these new tablets. Keep in mind, these tablets were just put on sale on the 26th (3 days ago) so I figured there might be some issues to be worked out as with being an early adopter of any new device. I had a pleasant chat with one of the support people and tried the quick fixes that they suggested, but none of those worked. We finally created a support ticket to see if they could address the fact that the application was showing up as being incompatible with our devices when I viewed it on my laptop. This morning I woke up and saw that ABCMouse was on the home screen of our devices. We installed it and logged in to our account so that the boys will have access to their pre-K learning. We are taking the weekend to familiarize ourselves with the Parents interface before giving the tablets to the boys, but so far everything looks good! Thank you to the support staff and service technicians who added these new tablets to the compatible list for ABCMouse! The battery life and responsiveness of the touchscreen on these tablets is a noticeable improvement over the 7 inch fire kids tablet we had before this. The quality of the hardware and the responsiveness of the support staff make it hard for me to want to shop around for anything else.

Great for kids
We have 2 of these, one for each of our kids. After considering many tablets suitable for children we decided to purchase these. We are glad we did. Mom or dad do the initial setup and activate the Amazon Kids program which comes included for the 1st year free when the tablet is purchased. Kids are only allowed to be in the kids mode of the tablet and only mom or dad can make any changes to the tablet using switching over to their profile with the password that only parents have. The tablet has a ton of games, educational content including books, you(mom or dad) can download apps like Netflix or anything the kids can watch their favorite TV shows then the kids can use it safely in the kids mode. You can set up age restrictions in the settings so t hbk e kids can only watch appropriate children's videos etc... The battery lasts a long time although I haven't counted the hours, sorry. But for kids I personally think that this is the best tablet.

love this so much
I literally can't say enough good things about this. This is such an upgrade to the previous ones. I bought this for my 2 year old in July for his birthday. I figured it was a good inexpensive option. My 7 year old has an Apple iPad, and I couldn't justify spending the money on one of them for him, I didn't see much toddler friendly games that really locked in without having the screen lock on & I wasn't spending the money just for him to be trapped into 1 game at a time. I bought a kids fire tablet probably 5-6 years ago for my daughter and it was HORRIBLE. It was the most awful thing I ever purchased. I ended up giving it to my brother to use in a halfway house, because I couldn't care less what happened to the hunk of junk. I was super nervous to purchase this after that first one, but I figured, what the hell.. they had literal years to work on the things. And I wouldnt be too upset if this thing sucked and I lost out on the money, as it wasn't much. I AM SO HAPPY I MADE THE CHOICE, AND GAVE THIS A SECOND CHANCE. This thing has been thrown, dropped from shopping carts, stood on, bounced down steps and everything else a 2 year old boy could do to this thing. NOT A SCRATCH. I love the free time app for kids, he is entertained for hours. This thing goes all day long some times and the battery life is amazing. the content is super appropriate, and I swear this thing has been a blessing in disguise. My husband and I have went back and forth, he didn't allow him to have a tablet, and I didnt really care. My son knows every shape, color, piece of heavy machinery, dinosaur, and so many other things from the kids apps that are downloaded in free time. he can solve puzzles and so many other things in the blink of an eye, because of this thing. No we aren't parents who let their kids be face first in electronics all day, everyday, but neither of my kids have issues putting them down to play with something else. I 100% recommend this to everyone who asks about tablets for their younger kids.

Great performance, long battery life, beware of Lego Duplo apps
These tablets have great performance. No lagging or waiting for apps to load and it boots up very fast. The battery life is phenomenal. It lasts all day during our long travel days on flights or in the car (we bought the back up batteries and have never needed them). That being said, beware of Lego duplo apps. Specifically Lego duplo world and Lego duplo marvel. You cannot subscribe to the monthly or yearly subscription in the Amazon kids profile. If you want additional content you must pay $5 per package there are a lot of them in the duplo world. The only work around is to buy them on the parent profile but then your kid will have to play on your profile. This wasn't a big issue until I realized that you cannot play the additional content that you paid for offline. Even after opening each additional scene and letting it download to the tablet while on Wi-Fi, once the Wi-Fi was gone or turned off, the additional content would work for a limited time. I believe until the tablet went to sleep or was powered off. Sometimes the app would not even open if you did not have Wi-Fi connected. Believe this is more of a developer issue than it is a tablet issue but it seems to be specific to the Lego duplo apps and the Amazon fire tablet. I tested the same two duplo apps on a Lenovo e10 tablet and had no problems playing content offline once it was downloaded. (I had already paid for the $40 yearly subscription on both apps via Google Play before getting the tablets. Had to buy them again when I got the fire tablets, only to realize they only work on an adult profile while connected to Wi-Fi). I just purchased a Lenovo tab m10 to test the kids profile and Lego duplo apps on that. Overall this is a great tablet and the content they get with Amazon kids Plus subscription is great. The kids love it and it keeps them busy on our occasional vacation trips. so far no other issues with any other apps.

Happy with my kids are happy!
I had been on the fence about this for a while since we have an iPad for our kids but they have been fighting a little bit more so over it now that our youngest is getting old enough to understand how to play the games. So when I saw someone on Instagram (mothercould) talking about the kids fire tablet I started paying attention and looking into it more. I ordered one when they were on sale for a prime day, and it arrived within a couple days. So delivery was quick and the box wasn’t damaged at all, it came with its own charging cord and charging block. When I turned it on to start setting it up it actually synced up to my prime account really quick, it honestly was so hassle free and my child was able to just immediately start playing games on it. After watching her for sometime now she seems to have a really good grasp on how to navigate it. She is still relatively young so it’s not like she appreciates all the content provided but she really does love the games and the videos. As a parent I’m just really happy that I can give my child a device and not have to worry about her going online or downloading anything she shouldn’t be or watching anything she shouldn’t be like I would with the iPad. Also they give you the option throughout set up to actually disable going online which I find really nice because considering my child’s age I don’t want her online at all. Overall I think it was a good bye and I’m actually debating buying another one because my oldest now wants to play on the new tablet lol I’m not sure what I was expecting in regards to the protective case for this tablet but when I opened it it felt like I was holding a giant stale marshmallow. It’s really lightweight but definitely protects the tablet. My child pretty much walks around with it all the time and as a result she has smacked it against our coffee table dropped it from the couch and dropped it even in the kitchen and there are absolutely no scratches so far.

Big upgrade
Amazon did it AGAIN! We upgraded from the 7 inch kids fire tablet to the 10 inch & so far, we’re thrilled. Not only does it feel better in your hands, but you can SEE how crisp everything truly is. When we bought the 7 inch tablet, we were totally new to the operating system because everything we own is apple. It took time to get used to the way the operating system worked (something I do think Amazon COULD make more user friendly and simple), but it’s for the kids, and what they use it for, it’s perfect. It’s the parents settings that’s a little confusing at times. We were back and forth about this vs. and iPad & at the end of the day, the durability of these just can be beat (yay for a 2 YEAR warranty). Side note: if it does need replacing, amazon replaces it with a refurbished one & I wasn’t super thrilled about that, but I do suppose it’s in the fine print. Back to the new 10 inch tablet. The screen size is perfect, I have it compared to the 7 inch model and next to a standard size water bottle for reference. It includes lots of new features and capabilities (I.e. being able to make zoom calls on the kids profiles). I do wish there was a way to lock the screen in on movies and/or apps so he can’t press buttons and get somewhere I don’t want him to be. Also, an actual home button would make the device even better and easy to navigate. Knowing that it didn’t have these, I still went with a kids fire tablet & believe these beat an iPad for a child any day. Setup was a breeze. They couldn’t have made that any easier. It checks all the boxes for us, we are ecstatic & my son was literally “wowing” when we opened it and turned it on. He’s 3 and the content will grow with him, which I love and think is brilliant. PS the sound on this is so loud and clear! Big improvement!
