I was initially looking for a wireless carplay adapter that could turn my factory wired carplay into a wireless one. But I see people talking about those type of wireless carplay box with extended functions, that could even play videos on the carplay screen. So I decided to give it a try. And I was shocked to see how the engineers could deliver with this little magical box. It turns out that this box serves as the roku box for the carplay screen, that it has its own operating system and UI on it, and could pretty much do anything, including playing videos, audios, installing android apps without the need to connect to an iphone. They just doesn't have a sim card slot and won't have celluar network. Otherwise, there would be no difference between these device and a designated phone on board. And because it's running it's own system, it bypasses a lot of restrictions that apple set for carplay, including being able to play videos, which is really cool to me. So essentially it's a upgrade to my console, which I like a lot. And it even comes with a micro sd card slot, that I can put the music I want to play while driving! This is a huge plus for me, since my car didn't come with a second usb port media storage. The only drawback between using a designated wireless carplay adapter and this device is that the carplay function shows up as an app on this magic box, so there is an extra step to go into the carplay function, which takes time and could be laggy sometimes. But since playing music is the thing that I use my carplay mostly for, it's not bothering me too much. Overall, I think this is a great product and great design!

It is slow, the Wi-Fi turns off constantly, it has a delay, the apps stop working

I’ll start with the positives because this really is a great product; I love the wireless CarPlay, the ability to watch movies. I really don’t like using my phone while in the car, so the less my phone comes out of my pocket the better IMO. I travel a lot and while my car drives itself, the infotainment system doesn’t allow for movie watching like a Tesla would, so this really helps for the boring drive.The negatives; for the love of God, please stop using Android OS, it’s the worst; it’s slow, it’s unstable at times and I often have to manually connect to the car WiFi which can take a lot of time given that it’s a slow Android OS. I understand Android is a freely distributed OS but I’d rather pay more money to find one that has a more tried and true operating system. Id prefer to not spend 15-20 minutes in the car setting it up before I can drive.

Works fine on 2021 Ford Bronco. Does NOT work in 2018 Honda Odyssey.

I plugged it to my mustang sync 3.4 and tested it out. It works perfectly with a few extra perks. I didn’t have wireless CarPlay so originally wanted something simple that can just plug and play, but I came across this product in #1 new releases so I decided to try it out. The Netflix app works very smooth using my car’s audio without lag, and I’m also able to install third arty apps like torque obd. Highly recommend it to people that wants a little modification to their car for OEM+ mod that doesn’t have wireless CarPlay. Really bang for your buck!

So things were going well for about 8 months, now the device disconnects and automatically reboots after 5-10 minutes of use over and over again. Bummer!

I have an iPhone, it allows us iPhone users to bypass the Apple security measures having this android auto and Apple car play work with our phones at the same time. I can switch between both android auto & Apple car play with my iPhone. It has Netflix and other streaming apps with androids side, and CarPlay has my maps and music.

Don’t waste your money on this, it’s a generic version of the Magic Box and it’s not the greatest. This thing is called PlayAIBox once you get it so don’t be fooled.It constantly disconnects every single time when I use it after 5-10 mins then it reconnects. I’ve reached out to customer service and everytime it’s them asking me questions that are pointless to even answer. I’m pretty tech savvy so I know how to reset and troubleshoot the device, they’ll talk to you as if you are super clueless. Overall just avoid and get something else.
