Simply it works
Works really well. Right out the package I was changing out a tire on a E-scooter with 14-inch tires. It worked exactly as I anticipated. Really great product.

The Tire Lever You Hope You Never Need—But Are Glad You Have
Long rides have a way of humbling you. Flats happen when you’re far from home, tired, and running low on patience. That’s where the Tru-Tension Tyre Monkey quietly earns its keep. This tool is compact, solid, and thoughtfully designed. It provides real leverage without feeling bulky, and it makes removing stubborn tires noticeably easier—especially when your hands are cold or fatigued. I’ve used it on road and mixed-surface tires, and it’s handled both without drama or damage to the rim. What I appreciate most is the confidence it gives you on long rides. It’s small enough to live in a saddle bag full-time, yet strong enough to handle a worst-case roadside repair. No flex, no frustration, just a straightforward solution when you need it. Bottom line: A smart, well-built tire lever for riders who prepare for the long haul. It’s the kind of tool you don’t think about until it saves your ride—and then you’re glad it’s there. Highly recommended.

Actually Works - And doesn't snap in half!
I’ve tried every major brand’s tool for mounting new tires on rims, and this one is easily the most functional so far. The way it locks onto the rim is genuinely satisfying—on my Industry Nine Hydras, it actually stays put. When I reach that final, insanely miserable stretch where forcing the tire over the rim becomes a literal nightmare, this tool lets me inch it on 10–20 mm at a time without the bead slipping back off the moment I reposition. It also didn’t snap, which shouldn’t be noteworthy, but anyone who mounts their own tires knows how often these tools fail under pressure. Overall, I’m impressed. It works, it holds, and it survives.

Good for beading tires, not so good for taking them off
Here’s a cleaned-up, grammatically correct version while keeping your tone: --- Totally worth it. I bought this tool out of frustration because on the past three tires I’ve put on my MTB (all Maxxis), I would end up struggling to bead the tire so much that I’d stretch the bead and get the classic Maxxis wobble. This tool was worth every penny. It has a good grip, it’s light so you can take it on the go, and it’s very thin. One thing to note, though, is that it’s mostly beneficial for **beading** a tire, not taking one off. I tried using this tool to remove a tire I had sitting on an old wheel I don’t use anymore, and it was stuck to the rim with dried sealant. The tool didn’t end up getting the tire off, but it was worth a try. All in all, if you have trouble beading your tubeless tires—or tires in general—this is a strong, comfortable, and thin tool that’s a great investment. It’s excellent for **installing** tires, but not the best for **removing** them. I’d use traditional tire levers for taking tires off and use the Tyre Monkey to put them on.

Go with the Tyre Glider over the Tire Monkey
I bought both a Tyre Glider and a Tire Monkey to try them both out. I have used them so far only on changing tires on a mountain bike - 26 x 1.95 tires. I found both difficult to use to remove the tire - the tires are tall and it was difficult to get either under the bead to take it off. It might work better on a lower profile road tire (I hope since that is what I ride!). It was much easier with the tire irons I have owned and used for 50+ years. Installing the tire with the Tyre Glider was eye opening easy. I found the Tire Monkey worthless for installing. The Tyre Glider is designed so its long portion lies along the rim when you are installing the tire, keeping everything aligned properly and making it easy for you to lean into the tool to muscle a tire onto the rim. The Tire Monkey depends upon your wrist strength to keep everything aligned and if you are needing to push hard, it is beyond at least my strength and ability to do that. Perhaps with practice I would be able to manage, but why bother when the Tyre Glider works without practice. I have arthritis in my hands which makes changing a tire difficult. I can see the Tyre Glider being an effective way for me to continue to be able to fix a flat while out on a ride. Hopefully it works effectively with reinstalling my road tires which is a massive problem for me with just traditional tire irons.

Must have item!!!!
Product worked exactly as described. Made changing the innertube so easy. Did it in under five minutes and I am not an avid bicyclist. Haven’t ridden a bike in years and of course, both tires are flat. Having this tool is a game changer.
