🔥 Solder Smart, Solder Fast!
The Mini Hot Plate is a compact and efficient soldering station featuring a powerful 65W output and an OLED display for precise temperature control. With a maximum temperature of 350°C and a smart thermostatic design, it ensures minimal damage to surrounding components while providing rapid heating capabilities through USB Type C support. Its energy-efficient design and small footprint make it an ideal choice for professionals seeking reliability and performance in their soldering tasks.

not ideal for PCB reflow soldering
The hot plate successfully negotiated 20V, but never pulled more than 30-40W at full tilt. When set to the maximum temperature of 350 C, the maximum temperature reached was 220 C reported on the device, and within +/- 5 C measured with an IR gun. This is good enough for preheating and low-temperature solder paste, but is just under what is required for leaded solder pastes, and significantly lacking when it comes to SAC305 lead-free solder pastes. When heating it up for the first time, this mini hot plate will emit a small amount of visible smoke and a strong odor from the PCB-trace heater (the top plate), and I would recommend a fume extractor with a activated-carbon filter, which you should be using anyway when reflow soldering.

Uneven and inaccurate heating, no charger, gross smell
This hot plate does not come with a charger, which was very unclear from the description. That said, its' pretty inexpensive, and I had a charger that met the requirements buried in the description online.Upon plugging it in, I set it to 241 to see how well it would heat up. It took a couple of minutes and was never able to reach the full temp, consistently reading on the display as 236/237 without being able to reach higher.I used an infrared thermometer and it showed the plate was not up to temperature and and uneven across the plate:203.6 C (center of plate)211 C (top side of plate)76.8 C (bottom side of plate, omg)182.3 C (left side of plate)176.5 C (right side of plate)I tried at a lower temp too (a target of 60C) and got similar disparities in the heat across the place. Additionally, it gave off a gross smell. That might go away and could just be manufacturing crud burning off with the first use, but I'm not sure. Not reliable or consistent enough to be usable, will be returning.

I had low expectation but this is awesome
I had very low expectation for the price, but this is working amazing. Super easy to use, it heats fast, and it takes no space at all.I've had a few weeks of use now, assembled a dozen smd PCBs and had zero issues.Just make sure you buy an actual 20v usb-c charger, because your regular usb-c phone charger won't get it hotter than 70°
