I Fell in Love with Hope: A Novel Paperback – June 20, 2023

Ahhhhhh oh my goshhhhhh I was SOBBING at the end of this book😭 it was so cute at times I loved it. This book is amazing I’ve never read anything like it. If you like sad books then you should read it, I also love all the characters. Neo and C so much I loved the time that they had together.<3 I would give this book a thousand stars if i could! 1,000/5⭐️

My heart ❤️ loved the writing of the book. Very emotional depth in my soul. I'm glad I gave it a second chance to read. I will never think this book had me completely neglecting my job lol (not really), but in the most part, it definitely had my full attention. It was so intense emotionally I was reck! I needed a cry! As a pediatric nurse this book holds a beautiful story of kids who continued with a light despite their circumstances and gave me a new perspective. The book was FILLED with many deep thought invoking phrases and sentences. Stars reduced because as beautiful as the poetic lines were there was so many of them that one chapter felt like 10 years. Books of this length typically take me a 1.5-2 days to get through. This one took me 4.5.

I read and read and re read pages. This book is raw emotion. It’s every confusing moment or feeling you’ve ever had. It pulls at every single detail that makes a person real. You have to read it to understand it. Loved it.

This book sucked me in from the very first page. You can Lancali planned out these characters so well. I love how each character is so unique and special but they are also all so similar and work together beautifully. I will hold this book special to my heart

The idea for this story was so sweet and beautiful. But I think "beautiful" was carried too far. Every single line the characters in this book speak is incredibly poetic, metaphoric, and lyrical. Which is fine! They are wonderful quotes! However it made it difficult to fully connect with the characters when they never had any "real" conversations with each other. I was never able to take a break from a sophisticated, emotional line. I just wanted to see this group of sick kids be just that - kids! I very badly wanted to not finish it, however I am unfortunately incapable of not finishing a story. This book came close to putting me in a slump.

Beautifully written. I would love more books by this author because it's gentle poetry. Characters and plot were lovable and unique.I read paperback and listened to the audiobook while traveling. The author was the narrator of the audiobook. I didn't like that she pronounced petechial incorrectly twice. Regardless, this book was such a unique piece of art and I devoured it in a day!
