I was pretty sure this was going to be a waste of money BUT I have to say this mouth guard is checking all the boxes. It prevents tooth to tooth contact. It stays in place. Its comfortable (after trimming per the directions). It also feels like it will last for a while (not sure yet). Regarding cleaning - i use a toothbrush to scrub it in the morning, and every 3-4 days a put a small glass ramekin filled with water in the microwave for 20 seconds and then drop the guard in the boiling water to disinfect. It works great and no micro plastics flooding your system every night and staying with you for the rest of your life. Yes, it doesn't last as long as plastic. Of course it doesn't. It's natural, not forever plastic. It's the forever part of plastic that is so bad after all. If forms to the shape of my bite every night once it's gets wet. I trim it to fit my mouth and bite best. The back molars on one side get super sensitive if I grind too hard, so I cut that side shorter and my teeth don't meet back there while all my other teeth sit on the guard. I hope that makes sense. Some nights I grind very badly. Other nights not so much. It took getting used to at first but so does any plastic one.
