Brilliant, kitten loves it. Had to sit with him at first because it makes a loud whirring noise, but then he went mental for it. After a month he still likes it (not AS much, sometimes just lies next to it watching it). Very robust, dropped it a few times and cat jumps on it stopping the mechanism, but it’s still fine. Battery life average - 15 hours probably.

Bought this for our two kittens, one of whom is Siamese and who, whilst lovely, needs constant entertainment. This was an immediate hit with her, and our other cat (who is a bit more timid) was at the very least mesmerised by it. As other reviewers have mentioned, on arrival the cover is a bit wrinkled but it doesn't seem to prevent the operation of the toy. It's not overly loud and the clutch mechanism seems to work fine - it clicks occasionally when one of the cats pins it down but it doesn't seem to do it any harm. The only downside I can see so far is that the whole thing is very lightweight, and the parts (wand, base, cover) are quite loosely fitted together. The wand just screws onto the base and after the fourth time of it coming unscrewed I was a bit miffed - but some bluetack in the thread seems to have solved that. The cover attaches with some elastic - but not very securely, and comes off trivially so if you have cats like ours, they'll pull it off in short order. It's easy to reattach, but it would be good if it was fixed a bit more firmly. And lastly - the whole base unit is light enough that it's easy to flip or (in the case of our Siamese) actually carry around the room. Which she has done now, several times. It would definitely benefit from a self-righting mechanism, because whilst this toy has saved me from needing to wave a wand toy around constantly, it's been replaced by needing to get up and flip the toy the right way up. All up, would recommend. One of the better cat toys we've bought.

L0VED!!! - that it engaged my indoor cat immediately, and that it has two speeds Cons - the screw on piece comes off easily when he plays with it; I plan to superglue it on Suggestion- to slightly shorten the skirt so that the tail of the fake mouse/feathers shows as it circulates DEFINITELY worth getting for your indoor cat

Probably the worst cat toy I've ever bought that I have to return it the day it arrived! Please don't buy this product, it arrived with a snapped wire, the wire inside the cover so flimsy and bendable and the cover itself is so thin, I don't understand who approved this, definitely not for cat claws. When I placed fully charged batteries inside, the slow mode was way too slow, and the fast mode was just a tiny bit faster but still super slow. The way you see in other videos where the mouse shows itself coming out and in, did not work on mine, it just stayed covered and then because my cat would attack it, the cover would crease over and get stuck in the mouse stick. Absolute terrible product, it should not be sold to anyone! Very disappointed as I bought a cat's meow one and that broke after 3 days and had to return it and now this. My cat absolutely loved that toy too but this, she wasn't impressed. Avoid all toys like this, they never seem to work or last!

The product is a nice idea and seems to be of a good quality; however, the lights on it do not work which is disappointing.

My cats love this and they play for ages! The only thing I can say I dislike is the price, I think it's way to expensive for what you get!!

It works all fine, until the cat catches it, which stops it from.turning, and it makes a really loud stuttering hammering sound, Because the motor can't turn any more. But I thought that would be the whole point, for the cat to catch it, so why does it make such a loud horrible noise like the cat is breaking it? Not sure if can put up with that noise for too long?

My cat loves this. It does get a little tangled in itself and the pointy stick falls off. Bit annoying it uses three batteries. My battery charger doesn’t like the math. But it keeps my cat Sunny entertained for sure.

If this device holds up, it will be one of the absolute best kitty cat toys ever made. Anything with feathers seems to be good but adding feathers to this was sheer genius. As the description says, the Feather Whirl is erratic...totally unpredictable and seemingly without pattern. I have two older kitty cats. One is more interested in his food right now but the other, a tabby, has really taken to it. The instructions do not indicate anything about an auto shutoff, but it seems to be "acting" like it. After whirling around for a while, it has just stopped and stayed stopped. When pushing the start button again, it starts whirling again. This has happened 3 times (I've only just recently gotten it out of the packaging (which was no easy trick, I might add...you'd think it was made of gold!). I hope this shut off thing is an attribute and not a defect...the timing of the shut off seems convenient and I'd rather it not just keep running and running and relying on me to turn it off. Auto shutoff would be a good thing. Again, hopefully that is what it is. A good toy to keep my kitty cats entertained and, hopefully, actively involved. Besides the batteries, you'll need a tiny phillips screwdriver. My normal screwdriver wouldn't fit well enough to turn the screw. Having confidence that the thing is not going to just die on me, I have ordered 2 more.

Katten älskar den. Men den låter väldigt mycket och kvaliteten är inte speciellt bra. Den håller så länge den håller helt enkelt. Men katten är underhållen i timmar och jamar bär jag stänger av. Tre AAA batterier krävs och önskar att den hade kunde laddats upp istället.

Le mie gatte adorano SmartyKat Loco! La base risulta solida e resistente quindi il gioco non si capovolge nemmeno durante i giochi più movimentati. A distanza di un mese e mezzo dall'acquisto la bacchetta e il ciondolo di piume risultano ancora intatti. Ne ho già ordinato un secondo di scorta.

My cat loves this little thing - I got three toys from them - the feather and ribbon ones are a hit, the little bug is loud and will never be played with - the feather and ribbon toys are both on timers (probably five or ten minutes?) - so click the button and then cat is entertained for a hot minute, then it goes off automatically to save battery life!
