It does come off when handled. **Q: does it rub off?** A: No it does not rub off. **Q: Will this work and not peel off the smooth side of a Velcro strap** A: I have never tried it on Velcro but it seems to work on all kinds of material. Must say that the spray works great when it is new, but then the nozzle gets clogged much too soon, I have been pouring it into new spray bottles and sometimes even that doesn’t work.
