X12 Amazing System
I would like to start Thanking WaterDrop Manufacturing an Excellent system which looks sophisticated on CounterTop, Compact in nature and most importantly good water supply that tastes excellent. I used to have older system that came with water softener(Dupure) and it is good cannot say great since it is my first RO system and did NOT know the difference. After 5 years of paying a ton of money for filters and to replace them them additional fee for the technician, I finally gave up the thought of spending close to $500 to replace the filters as my water line(RO) is NOT giving me any water. Other weird thing is I need to fill in Air in the reserve tank every Winter, if not the water does NOT come out faster enough. What I think is great about this system X12 1: It has 2 Modes Energy saving which saves power for me as it runs on electricity, regular mode which I can use during a family gathering where lot of water need to be pumped in less time. 2: The display shows what is your water impurities as the water flows out, it is usually for me 19 to 21 which is the best possible water you can drink. 3: Compact design gets under the sink occupying less space. 4: You can set the amount of water that should be dispensed every time, this is an amazing feature if you have kids and sometimes dont pay attention to turn off the water. 5: Changing Filters is a breeze and dont need to pay the Technician $150. Also you need to schedule and stay home for the repair. 6: Most importantly the Customer Service, they are amazing and I will NOT be able to say how much they helped in installing the system and questions I have to make the system up and running. In my case I have to involve a Plumber to replace the Old system with X12 as our old system has complex installation. But there a videos and manual that can be followed easily to setup the system. For now I am Happy I made the move and water tastes like water should. Caution: If used to drinking tap water initial days you can feel it is different and this is because your taste buds are used to a taste and anything different you may NOT like it and body takes time to adjust. I posted the review to help others who delay things like me and wasting money trying to keep the old system running and not sure which system to move to. In my case this is the Best decision, everybody has different budgets so pick a system based on your needs. Also Waterdrop occasionally has deals on the systems, so subscribe or visit their website to save some more money.

Good water
I'm using this in North New Jersey. The water here is pretty good, but quite chlorinated. It comes from rain reservoirs in the Northern part of the state. I've used Bri* filters for decades and it produces acceptable tasting water, but not necessarily remove the toxins. It's also a chore to keep refilled, and we use lots of filters. I figured, I'd splurge on a system that will remove as much toxins as possible and supply "unlimited" water with minimal maintenance. The hardest part of the installation was actually electrical since I had to add an outlet under the kitchen sink. That took the better part of 3 days, and in the process I blew out 3 GFIs across 2 circuits, and necessitated multiple trips to the hardware store for parts. In comparison, installing the X12 took only half a day - with no trips to the hardware store. The X12 installation is mechanically simple. I already had an unused facet sprayer hole (perfect for the X12 faucet), so my only permanent modification was drilling a 1/4 inch hole for the waste water hose. A real difficulty was finding space to work under the sink. So I dry ran each step of the installation to anticipate problems. I manage to assemble most of the cold water assembly outside of the sink before finally tapping into the cold water line. Likewise, I was able to insert all 3 plastic lines into the X12 outside the cabinet before heaving the very large and heavy unit into place under the sink for final electrical hookup. My wife provided a large rectangular planter box as a leak catcher; and I added 2 wood blocks to keep the X12 elevated above the box. I've since placed a SwitchBot leak detector in the box - just-in-case. The installation is thankfully leak free. I semi-accidentally registered the system. After heaving it into place, I realized that the serial number is on the back. Peering around with my phone-as-flashlight, I noticed an NFC label to the upper right of the unit. My phone scanned the label and that registered the X12 via the Waterdrop App. Apart from registration, the app is not necessary since the unit and the faucet has filter status. The water tastes really good. A blind test of raw water, Bri* filtered water, and Waterdrop was no contest. It's convenient to no longer worry about having pre-filtered water on hand, or waiting for enough water to drip through a filter. However, after the novelty of water-on-demand wore off, we've taken to filling water jugs for even simpler access to water. We've set the faucet to automatically dispense 50oz into a jug - hands free. That also minimizes cycling the pump and faucet. And oh, the pump is near silent - running water is all we hear.

Waterdrop X12 Superior Filtration System
The Waterdrop X12 Alkaline Reverse Osmosis system is outstanding! I now have great tasing water that is Ph balanced! I push a button and perfect water is delivered. This very attractive dispenser also goes beautifully with my faucet! I am also thrilled that when the time comes I can change the filters easily as they are right in front of the unit and simple to replace. There is also no need for a large tank so I gained back lost space under my sink! I drink more water because it tastes great and is good for me!

Life changing?
Ok. That title might sound a little over the top. But I mean it quite literally. I've been an ardent supporter of home filter systems for many years. When I see shoppers wheeling out of big box stores with whole pallets of bottled water my stomach turns. Almost all bottled water is simply drawn from municipal water sources, filtered and put into millions of plastic bottles. That bottled water is 300 to 1000 times more expensive than their tap water. If it's a premium brand, the cost per gallon can be up to 10,000 times as much! Check for yourself. But far beyond the wasteful cost is the mountain of single use plastic. In the U.S. alone 50 to 60 BILLION bottles are thrown out. Yearly! That's 100 million bottles not recycled every day. Then there's the plastic elephant in the room if what's floating IN those bottles. Microplastics. They are now found in 100% of any human tissue samples including our brain! I had been using a 3 filter system for my home drinking water highly rated by the lab we all know so thought I was fine. Then I fed into an AI what system I had and where I lived, asking it to reference the water testing for my community and asked if a reverse osmosis system would justify the seeming high cost. I expected the equivalent of a meh, to pop out. Oh no. It emphatically told me, absolutely! Seems my little municipal water supply has 200 times the amount of arsenic from leeching plus 75 times the amount of forever chemicals. Their filters and mine had no effect on those. Yikes. I did some research and ordered this Water Drop system on the spot. I always rejected the idea of reverse osmosis because my kitchen is small and the water tank would swallow up my under sink storage area. Wait? There's a tankless system? I made the measurements and took the plunge. (Notice how I worked in a water metaphor. I know.) Installation was actually pretty simple since it used the same fittings of my old system. The only addition was the waste water hole you need to drill to push in a small tube. Piece of cake. Then there's the spout. I wanted something that even looked a bit of an upgrade since I was spending over a thousand dollars. That spout is mind blowing. At least as far as spouts can astound. You want just one glass, you dial 8 oz. You want to fill that to go thermos, you dial 32 oz. It dispenses and stops. Very cool. There a readout that shows the number indicating the particulate matter. I frankly don't know what number to look for, just that my consistent #16 seems pretty good. The lights also show the condition of the 3 filters and if they need to be changed. There's supposed to be an infrared light that kills bacteria. Frankly, I'm a bit skeptical since the water flow is so swift only the weak and almost dead bacteria might be put to rest. Oh yes. The water flow rate. Compared to my painfully slow previous system, this is like a fire hose. Not literally, but fast and quick. Ok. You buy this for the health and taste benefits. So how does that fare? Brilliant. The water is so pure it's like drinking air. It's so easy to drink even more to maintain hydration. I had hated the idea of lugging water to work with me, but now often fill two 32 ounce stainless steel thermos' and will consume them before my long 12 hour work day is over. Would I recommend this filter? If you're feeling my vibe you know already that I can't recommend it enough. I did happen to fall into a sale so saved a few hundred dollars. But in a pinch would even have paid full price with no regrets. Microplastics are everywhere in our environment and many of them we actually breathe in especially from tire particles. But if I can stem the tide (another water metaphor) and cut out some not to mention those other nasty chemicals my lesser filter system was letting just slide by, it is well worth it. As far as those plastic waste bottles are concerned, please people, consider stopping contributing to that mountain of garbage in landfills and oceans. The cost up front is not inconsequential, but it will pay for itself over time. It's a win-win-win!

Really good product
Quality product. Love the strong flow of water, it fills any container really quickly. Neatly contained in box under sink. Water is clean and healthy tasting. Hired plumber to install. Very expensive product, but every time my family gets a cglass do water, I know itโs worth the price paid.

Great taste
Water taste amazing. The set up took 30 minutes and was very easy to follow. Would highly recommend this and worth the higher price point.

Died on the first filter change
At first, everything was great. Instalation was easy, the unit and faucet both seem to be high quality, and the filtration worked very well - usually between 9-11 TDS according to the faucet. Everything worked great for around 6 months, until it was time to change filter 2 ("F2"). I followed the instructions included with the filter and turned off the faucet for 30 seconds. I turned off the water supply to the unit. Then, I turned the filter counter clockwise to remove it, and that's when the nightmare began. Water immediately flooded out of the unit, into my cabinet, and then into my basement. A lot of water. I spent several minutes mopping up as much as I could with every towel I had. Then, I removed the plastic piece labeled "remove" from the new filter, and attempted to turn it clockwise into the unit. However, it wouldn't fully turn into the correct position no matter how hard I tried. Eventually, with way too much force, it looked ok. Except it wasn't. The unit contined to leak while it ran the 5 minute flush, and the flush continued long past the 5 minute mark. I thought maybe the unit wasn't pressuring fast enough, so I let it run - but it just kept going and kept leaking. Eventually I decided to try the old filter again, and thankfully the leaking stopped. Unfortunately, the unit still won't stop flushing and the TDS is reading in the low 60s. All of this, from changing a filter at 6 months. I now have what appears to be a damaged unit, a wet basement, no filtered water and I'm out a thousand bucks. I had a similar unit from another company here on Amazon that lasted me several years, countless filter changes (similar filters) and no leaks, ever. It was also several hundred dollars cheaper. Needless to say, I'm not very happy with this product.

Excellent RO System Upgrade: Efficient, Tankless, and Feature-Packed!
We've been using a Culligan RO system for many years, but buying replacement filters online isnโt an optionโthey can only be picked up in-store. Plus, having Culligan replace the filters costs nearly $450 in California. So, we decided to switch to a new RO system thatโs easier to maintain. After extensive research, we chose the Waterdrop X12. Here are the pros, cons, and some hidden features we've discovered: Pros: - Certified Water Quality: This system has passed multiple certified lab tests, so you can be confident it effectively removes contaminants. - Tankless Design: Minimizes the risk of bacterial growth (our old system had a tank, which needed periodic sanitizationโcosting more in maintenance). = UV Sterilization: Unlike many other RO systems with 3 filters, the X12 includes a UV sterilizing light for added protection. - Smart Monitoring: Both the faucet and main unit track when filters need to be changedโa great feature when life is already busy. - Reputable Company: Waterdrop is backed by a large company with years of experience in water filtration. This was important to us, as many RO systems on the market are from startups, and I didnโt want to invest in a system from a company that might not be around in a few years. - Award-Winning Design: The X12 won a Red Dot Design Award. Even though itโs installed under the sink, itโs nice to have something that looks great! - Excellent Customer Service: Initially, we spoke with a representative who couldnโt answer all our questions. However, we were later connected with a staff member who provided detailed responses promptly, even within 24 hours when out of the office. Cons: - Wobbly Faucet: As some reviewers noted, the smart faucet wobbles. Some have 3D-printed adapters to stabilize it. Hopefully, Waterdrop will consider adding a fix in the future. - Pricey: This is one of the more expensive tankless RO systems, but the unique features make it worth the investment. Plus, Waterdrop frequently offers discounts on their RO systems. - Noise: It does make some noise, but itโs only noticeable when the room is quiet, and it's not a dealbreaker. Additional Thoughts: Some buyers mentioned that the initial water flow is too strong, causing spills. I personally found it acceptable, as the higher flow is part of the appeal. If you prefer a slower flow, the user manual explains how to enable energy-saving mode (restart the unit and press F2+F3), which also reduces the flow. Thereโs another mode not mentioned in the manual called "faucet mode" (restart the unit and press F1+F2) to reduce the water flow without affecting energy use. Overall, we opted for the X12 due to its faster water flow. If you prefer a lower flow, models like the X8 or G800 might be better options. I hope this review helps you decide if the Waterdrop X12 is right for your familyโs needs!

Nice product, amazing customer service
Impressed with the product but even more with the customer service! I have the button a little crooked so sometimes would not activate when pressed, especially from one side, that being said, I contacted the customer service and I have to say it is the best one I ever reach out. I ended up receiving a free unit and free filters, still can't belive it. Faulty units can happen with any brand... but customer service like that will make me buy from them again if I have a need (this is my third reverses osmosis machine I bought in my life) and would definitely recommend this brand to anybody asking just for the peace of mind of the customer service alone. That being said love the machine too! It's a big step above the other one I tested out, way quicker, super quiet. ***other thing if you are wondering you CAN hook it up with a fridge, I was a little scared with the starting button being electronic but jut put a T connection and the unit will start when the pressure in the output drop down exactly like a less fancy one so now even my ice in my fridge have quality water :)

Best water filter!
Extremely pleased with the Reverse Osmosis X12! Quality of the filtering unit is undeniable. We take our water from our lake which is normally yellow once out of the faucet after being filtered by our primary unit. Once going through the X12 it is cristal clear! Not too hard to install it yourself. It took approximately 2 hours. Unit is very quiet. The electronic faucet coming with the unit will fit in standard holes made on counter top. Ours is made of quartz and the faucet replaced a soap dispenser. Customer service is quick to reply to any questions or queries you have for their products.
