I worked as a barista for many years. I know how to use espresso machines and how to make lattes and espressos. I have used 3 different espresso brands to test this machine.First, you need to preheat it. Even with the preheat function, to my particular taste, it does not feel as hot as any coffee you get anywhere. Then, the taste is not close to espressos in coffee shops either. I thought it could be the espresso coffee brand, but then I bought two other brands and they are okay, especially when I add the espresso shots to my regular keurig coffee, but they do not taste that slightly bitter that I like (I know it is not supposed to be bitter, but i like that). If you mix coffee with milk and do lattes you probably do not care, but I like black, strong coffee so I think it works to wake me up but it is not there yet for my expectations. Nothing wrong with the machine.

I'm not an expert or anything. I've worked in a nice coffee shop for a about a year, but that was a long time ago.I'm very happy with this purchase. I've used it a number of times now, and I'm very happy with the espresso and the steamer. One thing to know about the steamer: don't put the head too far in the milk or it'll be very loud. Just stay toward the top of the milk, basically just on the surface or just below.I was going to get another machine, but noticed it was 15-bar. I'm very happy with this one which is 20-bar

I bought this because work was requiring us to return to work and I did not want to be without an espresso machine at work! The 20 bar pressure definitely caught my attention and order of this. I tried it out and found the crema to be amazing and long lasting! I had thought about taking this in to work but will be keeping this at home to use much more often. The buttons are very intuitive, and the system is very easy to use. Does not take up much counter space. I have had no issues so far with the unit in the course of the month since I bought it.

Holy creama! This little espresso machine surpassed my expectations and makes a delicious cup with thick creama. It’s great value for the money and I’m so glad I took a chance on this one over the more expensive models I was looking at. I don’t use the frothing wand so won’t comment on that but I love it for making shots or iced drinks at home.

My espresso machine that I had used for a couple years broke down. I searched for a new espresso machine, read the reviews and ordered the Casabrews Espresso Machine. It makes a better double shot than my previous machine, which I paid more money for it. You absolutely have to read instructions before you use it. I'm very happy that I ordered it.

I've had two other espresso machines. One less than $100 and one over $400. They have all made a decent espresso and steamed milk. The more expensive one had a stronger less watery steam spray, but not significant enough to justify the price difference. I've used 10k dollar commercial machines and although they are awesome, unless you really want to become a professional barista who likes to tweak the grind and the pressure and the time of the shot and anything else, you would never need such a thing. I used to thinkI was interested in those things but it's hard to want to do them when you haven't had your morning coffee.I really like this machine and use it every morning to make a vanilla latte. When my expensive machine quit coming to pressure I thought I would just drink regular drip coffee or the kuerig. Finally had to admit they're both yucky and got this espresso machine and haven't been disappointed.I went to coffee school a few years ago and will share what will make your espresso experience more enjoyable. After steaming the milk, immediately wipe the wand with a wet cloth and blast a bit more steam. Then clean the portafilter and run a single shot without the portafilter while scrubbing the brew head with a brush. Empty the tray water, rinse the milk pitcher, and dry off/wipe down the machine. It literally takes less than two minutes and you can enjoy your espresso without the mess lingering in the back of your mind, and it will also be ready to go the next morning.

We bought this machine after our old Saeco Via Venezia bit the dust. We love it! Easy to use, and it looks nice. The first unit shipped to us by Amazon had a dent and appeared used. When we reached out to the seller’s customer support, they were responsive and made good with a brand new unit right away. Problem solved - five stars!

I like it very much in general, but it does take doing a couple of dry runs to heat up the machine enough to get hot espresso’s on the next run. Otherwise I would’ve given it five stars because it’s fine and well priced.
