I feel like I have a different book
I read all the reviews thinking this workbook would be great but it wasn’t. It’s repetitive, yet despite that it’s confusing in terms of explaining shadow work and the 4 main archetypesand. Also the sentence structure doesn’t make for easy reading. It’s very basic and I don’t feel the exercises so far make any sense and the concept of shadow work isn’t completely new to me.

A 21-day plan to Address your Shadow, be the Authentic YOU
I bought this book to delve into my own Shadow for 21 days, as a companion to Scarlett Kent’s other book, "The Shadow Work Journal," because both books work well together. Both books explain the connection between our unconscious habits and behaviors and our Inner Child via the concept of a Shadow Self. This comprises the parts of ourselves we have repressed and denied… and often find triggering when coming from others.Psychologist Carl Jung proposed we inherit four main archetypes from our ancestors: the Shadow, the Persona, the Anima / Animus, and Self. To change unhelpful behaviors, we must explore these in order to delve into our subconscious and access our inner child. Why? Because this helps root out the origin of our unhelpful behaviours and their effect on our daily lives. This Shadow Workbook successfully gives us a 21 day journal plan (the time Maxwell Maltz says it takes to change our self-belief and habits) to explore and heal the dark side of the subconscious.Ultimately, the aim is to feel a deeper sense of self-acceptance and self-love and to break free from feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected. The book offers a holistic approach to personal growth, addressing mind, body, and spirit. Highly recommended.

Practical and illuminating
A very useful book which explains Carl Jung and the different personality aspects. This is a practical journal outlining how to trace back the triggers which lead to anxiety. They are mostly left over form some imbalance which the author explains can be explored. Self examination will help to release these barriers.

I am actually doing this !!
I have bought different journal prompt books in the past but this one seems different. I have really been looking forward to coming home and spending a few minutes each day working on it. It's helping me with my self discovery and learning about things that subconsciously stress me and different triggers from my past. This book is very thought provoking but not in an overwhelming way. I am really enjoying this so far and I bought another for my friend so we are both working through this book.

An educational and informative book
For me the book was very educational. I think this book is a great reading for people who do not have any background in psychology.

Poorly Written.
The content was simply not well written. It was vey grating on the ears to read and made the process of completing the workbook unenjoyable. The activities were also not well laid out; they had sort of a “use the following page to write down your thoughts” type of feeling as opposed to a structured psychology exercise. Disappointing.

Short but valuable guide for healing traumas and being connected with your inner child
"The Shadow Work Workbook " is a practical and insightful guide that helps readers to identify their shadow self (described as the aspects of their personality that have been repressed or denied).Through a 21-day plan, the author offers tools and techniques to work through repressed emotions, thoughts, and memories that are holding you back. The book provides detailed descriptions of the different architects described by Carl Jung, allowing readers to gain a better understanding of their inner psyche.I have a particular fondness for compact yet informative books, as they offer a quick read without sacrificing valuable insights. In this regard, the author has done a great job in crafting a book that is both succinct and informative, providing readers with all the essential information they need.Overall, I found the book to be a constructive and insightful guide to embracing the inner child and making positive changes in all areas of life.

Good book once you get around some of the confusing terms.
Actually helpful, but I was orignally paralized by some of the language he used.
