I'm a side sleeper who also uses a rather large wedge pillow (with a head pillow on top) to help with my sinuses and sleep apnea. I was getting to where I had daily pain upon waking, in my neck and upper back. Now every night since getting this pillow, I have slept better and woke with no pain or stiffness. It feels so nice when you settle in to go to sleep, the cradling effect of the pillow. For the first couple nights, I was using the opposite edge of the pillow, what they refer to as the lower sleep side. I felt the cervical support side was too stiff and too high. Finally on the third night I took out the extra foam piece and tried the cervical support edge again, and now it's perfect. The included manual doesn't explain this, but to remove that piece or take the case off to wash it, you simply unsnap the button which runs through the middle. It's a metal snap similar to a western shirt or coat button. I have no complaints about the pillow except in my case, the side arm supports just don't do it for me. I naturally want my arm under the pillow, but even that works better with this one, because the weight of my head is always in the middle so I can tuck an arm under without waking up with it being numb. Highly recommended!

I have a really weird long neck with some issues in my fourth and fifth vertebrae. I ordered this pillow and, after sleeping on it for a few nights, I requested the optional insert to raise it a little higher. They replied an hour later that the additional free insert was on backorder, but that it should be in soon. I appreciate that their emails are very friendly and professional. Thirteen days later they emailed me saying that it had been restocked, and they gave me a tracking number for the shipment. I was happy to see that they sent me two inserts! The pillow took me a little while to get used to, as I needed to remember to keep my head on the concave center of the pillow, not propped up by the sides, but it has been worth it. I love that there is a spot for my arms, as I am exclusively a side sleeper. I think this is a really good pillow and, now that I have slept on it for several months, I can highly recommend it. Love this new pillow! A friend at my gym highly recommended this pillow to me due to shoulder and neck pain from sleeping on my sides and it has tremendously helped with relieving the pain. PROS Very comfortable and has a slight firmness to it that I appreciate. It has side areas to put your arms for side sleepers, neck support for back sleepers, and you turn the pillow around for stomach sleepers. It does not need an extra pillow case since it comes with one already on it. Highly quality fabric on the pillow and case. The appearance of the pillow looks interesting but trust me - it works! It even has a manual to show you how the pillow works. It has a cooling feel to it every night that I lie my head on it which makes falling asleep a little better. CONS It takes about 4-5 days to adjust to the pillow and learn how to sleep with it, which can be uncomfortable to some people. VALUE It is worth the money!

I slipped my C5 disc doing CrossFit six years ago. If you’re reading this and you’ve experienced a cervical disc injury, you know how painful it can be. For the last six years, I’ve lived with near-constant pain — shooting pain from my neck up into my head, down my arm, and numbness in my arm. I’ve tried multiple pillows over the years and never found one that truly helped or gave me consistent relief. About six weeks ago, I slept wrong and had a major flare-up. It was almost as painful as the original injury. That’s when I decided it was time to try something different. I have used a neck pillow (a very basic one) for many years. But recently, I began having neck problems again. Went to a doctor but even prescription medicine didn’t take the pain away completely. It finally occurred to me that perhaps my pillow was worn out and needed to be replaced. I chose this one. I read the reviews and instructions that said I may need to give it some time, so I wasn’t expecting much - at least not early on. I am NOT exaggerating when I say my neck pain was gone after the first night. I was in total shock. I am 5’1” - please have the sloping side facing your neck if you’re short. I think you’ll find it MUCH more comfortable. The other side felt super high and tilted my head forward at an angle. Note that with the sloping side facing my neck, I never needed to remove the insert to feel comfortable. I switch positions during the night between side sleeping (on both sides) and back sleeping and was equally comfortable in each position. My hand fell perfectly and naturally onto the little “wings” on each side of the pillow when I side-sleep but that could be due to my height. Although, I still think they would work for slightly taller people as well. It is the perfect balance of soft and firm and my head feels cradled all night. Bottom line: best purchase I’ve made all year, bar none.

I've been dealing with neck problems with sleeping for the longest time. I'd either deal with pillows that are too high or too low. With my shoulder a bit wider, the angle my head tilts to the side is much steeper. It wasn't uncommon for me to find my head slipped off my traditional pillows. With this pillow, I was able to sleep pain-free for the first time in a long time. When I awake, I find my head still in the center of the pillow (being on a corner of the pillow very few times). I definitely found more consistent sleep with this pillow compared to the standard style of pillow. As a side sleeper, this isn't going to replace all your pillows. Depending on your build, you may require up to 3 regular pillows. I use one pillow to support my lower torso due to my broader shoulders, one between my thighs to support the base leg, and one I hold in front of me to support my arm to prevent it from rounding out. All oth is and, the cervical pillow definitely improved my sleep quality. I woke up with less pain and even breathed better with the support. I only give this a 4-star rating though as I'd wish it was a bit taller or had a taller option. But for most, this should be a great intro to supportive pillows and much more budget-friendly. The material is not standard memory foam and is much bouncier but firm enough to hold its shape. Even the corners that hang off the pillow were able to hold my head up. If you find the casing weird, then put it into one of your own pillow casings. As for cleaning it, there is an inner and outer cover. It's simple enough to take off and wash, but it may take 5 min total to put it back together. The zipper is decent, but you struggle more with making sure the material doesn't get caught in the zipper due to how form-fitting the casings are. Additionally, you might get it on wrong, as it can be a bit confusing which side of the case is for the longer or shorter ends. This is all the more reason to put it in a pillowcase to avoid having to clean the fitted case as often. In summary, while I cannot compare it to the best pillows on the market, it's a great pillow if you want to simply try this style without making commitments. For me, it provided much-needed relief and comfort. If you already have good sleep posture, then it may not have as big an improvement. But it's worth a try.

It was too high for me and, unlike identical ones or copies for a little over $30 on Temu, there is no way to remove a layer to adjust the height. Also, no fitted pillow casies? It's not that nice next to your face. Mine has gone to the bin.
