I'd look elsewhere as well. The one I received had a flimsy handle and the heating element broke after only a few uses. I wrote a review on it, it was that bad. Fair to say I wasn't impressed. **Q: Can this be used on laminate flooring** A: Yes is the short answer, water is the one to avoid but steam evaporates so fast it should do no harm if the floor is tight fitting. I use mine on an engineered oak floor and it's fantastic... Many other uses too like cleaning tiles and Windows.
