Well, let's see: All the second thoughts before choosing this were about the volume of the internal speakers and the playability, since I used to have a quite expensive turntable (technics). To my surprise this little thing has it almost all. It looks gorgeous, no problem with the records (been using it for the last 2 days) and it can be acceptably loud (for a 50m2 living room), although at full volume you can hear a little buzz - nothing annoying though. I haven't connected it to external speakers (no need to) so I can't tell anything about that. Nice touch the curve at the side of the lid, so that you can use it with the lid down. The only con I could find is the moderate quality of the plastic but for it's price, it is a successful buy. Totally recommend it.

I bought this record player mainly because of it's looks, but I was optimistic that it would be a good record player too.Reading other's positive reviews, I thought that I would be on to a winner - Wrong!!The body and lid of the record player are good looking, but the turntable mechanism is cheap, "looks like a fisher price toy" it has no pick up / put down to put the stylus on the record, it cluncks with each rotation of the turntable, the sound quality is quite poor, same as listening to your music on a mobile or cheap clock radio and there is a hum in the background of the sound.The tone arm is made of a chrome effect metal which has rust spots all over it.I think that this item was a previous customer return as all the cables and instructions were loose in the box, plus it got lost in transit and arrived a few days later in a badly battered box.I love amazon and their products and I spend hundreds of pounds with them each month, but on this occasion, I feel a bit ripped off and let down.Overall, great looking product, aesthetics are pleasing, but performance wise don't bother. This will be going in the boot sale, may get a fiver for it!!

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. Although he has a "system" He wanted the facility for a almost portable deck that can be set up easily to play lp's anywhere. This is perfect. You are not going to get a Bang & Ollufson/Garrards sound. It is what it is. We love the fact that we can take this to the kitchen, or the veranda, anywhere you can stretch a extension lead to a power point to. I highly recommend this item.For the pleasure that my husband has had from this, it is worth every penny.

A great record player giving good sound quality and stability.Two negative points: Odd cut out in the side panel catches the eye for no advantage (no idea why it is there but it's machine cut) and there is no control arm to lift the stylus from the record (easy and cheap to fit at manufacture and would help protect precious vinyl records).Well worth the money though.

Arrived before the predicted date and the sound quality is amazing. It plays new and old records really well.

Purchased as Christmas gift, lovely tone, small enough to fit on a small table in bedroom, very pleased with this product.
