Yellow Cake Mix

I purchased this cake for my spouse’s birthday. I am gluten free and we are both dieting. When I saw the macros and that it was gluten free, I needed to try it. I used the standard moist cake directions. It’s just like any other cake mix and was simple. Gluten free baking is different, so just make sure not to over bake, which is easy with GF products. This cake was moist, tasted great, and was easy to portion. It tastes like a standard gluten free cake. So if you don’t eat gluten free, it may taste different because of the different flours (i.e. coconut flour). I do not recommend the frosting. I bought it and tried it before putting it on the cake and I am glad I did. It tasted horrible and the calories were no better than traditional frosting. If you aren’t keto, save your tastebuds and use a protein, homemade, or traditionally store bought frosting. With traditional frosting, it was a great tasting cake. Those who complain about the cost, this is pretty on par with a lot of gluten free cakes, except you will be happy that you can spare your extra calories on a scoop of ice cream.

For what this is, it tastes very good. It’s pricey, but worth it when you want a sweat treat. Very fluffy and easy to make

I really wanted to like this product. I purchased the cake mix and vanilla frosting together. I followed the classic moist instructions. Once the cake came out of the oven the smell made my mouth water. It smelled so good. I added the vanilla frosting once the cake was cooled. The smell was so promising. However, the taste to match the smell was missing. The cake flavor is similar to how paper smells. The frosting tastes like a very watered down icing. I am including pictures. I knew that this product would not taste exactly like an actual cake with buttercream frosting, but did not expect the taste to be this bad. I will not be reordering this brand again.

I am giving this a 4 bc the flavor was good but the quantity was about half the size of a normal bag of batter. Flavor was good though and tasted a lot less grainy than other keto baked goods.

Bought this for my husband's birthday because he is watching his sugar intake. This is a good alternative to regular cake mix but my husband didn't love it. Mixes easy but the finished cake was crumbly and dry. The taste wasn't bad but not as good regular mix. Definitely use parchment paper in the pan. The cake stuck to the pan.

Best low carb cake ever!! I am on a weight loss Journey and I eat low carb and low calorie. I wanted to make a low-carb carrot cake for Easter this year remembered Fitbake! I absolutely love all their products. You cannot even tell that it's low-carb!! I bought the yellow cake mix along with the cream cheese frosting and let me tell you it was out of this world delicious! My family couldn't even tell that it was a low carb!! they actually wanted more cake. I ended up making little carrot cake loaves - which were a huge hit!!! I will be buying again!!! I jumped on the scale the next day and still lost weight!! This is a dream product for cake lovers!!!!!! Highly recommend!

Best tasting keto cookie on the market, love them.

I make “healthier” cookies with 1 box of cake mix and 1 can of pumpkin. I’ve used every grocery store cake mix, but I wanted to find something that could be even lower in calories. The cookies are usually absolutely delicious and I recommend anyone reading to try this! 375 degrees, bake for 15 mins. You literally just mix a full can of pumpkin and any boxed cake mix. I got this to try, and the cookies did not bake at all they just stayed a mush. They also tasted pretty dusty/not at all like cake. It tasted more like a protein powder mixed with oat flour. I’m not sure if perhaps I made this cake the regular/intended way if it would be better, but nonetheless no box of cake should cost $14. Had my pumpkin cookies worked and tasted good or even similar to the ones I usually make, I maybe could have justified $14 once in awhile as a treat. It is still ridiculous though. I am still on the hunt for a cake with lower than 130 cals per unprepared serving to make my pumpkin cookies.
