This was for an old Craftsman 3/8 reversible variable speed drill that had a lot of use, but no longer reversed. In fact it sat on the sidelines for about 10 years, then was used only for Portalign-type drilling as needed. I finally found something that might work, I thought, with this product. It looked the right size and was a gamble, but it WORKS! with no need to file , cut, redrill holes, etc. The switch didnt have a center-off function like the old one, which no one needs. Or was the old one THAT broken.Im glad I found this and took a chance. My drill is Craftsman model 315.1004 from Sears and now is about 20 to 25 years old I estimate.
