Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D [DVD] [1998]

The original Nick Fury
Retired spy Nick Fury is brought out of retirement to stop old enemies Hydra from releasing a deadly nerve gas. While it's hard to imagine anyone else but Samuel L Jackson in the role now, believe it or not, David Hasselhoff was the original Nick Fury in this TV movie from 1998. While Marvel films now are huge epic million dollar blockbusters, this is cheap, disposable fun though it is faithful to the original comics it's nowhere near the high standard that Marvel films and TV shows do now. The whole cast try to out act each other, it's very hammy but while Samuel L Jackson gives the much better performance in The Avengers and other Marvel movies, David Hasselhoff is actually a lot closer to the original comic book character. The ending hints at more to come but it's not hard to see why this flopped. An interesting look at what could have been.

Rubbish DVD
If you want to lighten your pocket of £6 you'd be doing better with your money giving it to charity as this DVD is 100% rubbish really bad acting and low budget set.

Defenately NOT MCU...but fun
Movie was full of cliches, such as bad one liners and terrible "bad Guy" accents.I did not have high expectations, but it was quite funIf you started watching Marvel movies from MCU, you probably do not want to watch this. Unless ofcourse you want to see Hasselhoff in leather😆

Worth a good watch & to have in your marvel film collection
Good film as expected but not as brilliant as newer films in the collection off marvel films although it is an early make. David Hasselhoff plays nick fury in a good light but I've seen him play better. But a good film to have in your collection to understand were hydra started & came from in the marvel films.

It's fun as long as you don't take it seriously !
The acting is really wooden and Hoff seems like he is doing an audition for a John Wayne tribute movie but it is still fun and not a bad way to pass the time.
