Stride Rite Ultimate Spider-Man Light-Up Sneaker (Toddler/Little Kid)

These shoes are stylish and durable. From the first look and touch, both my son and I were impressed. Of course, he's only wore then for two weeks, but they are everything I hoped for. Good construction- sturdy with no visible flaws or glue patches. Colorful and brilliant and yet they can go with most of this clothing. The light up features are unique. The side has a spider and some action words (e.g. "Zoom!" "Whoosh!"), and the Spiderman face on the top also flashes as bright as an LED blub. I truly love the overall look.I do have two complaints. The first complaint that I have is also one of my main reasons for getting these. The velcro closure is VERY secure. On one side, I I know my son won't come out of his shoe while walking- a problem I had with his last Sketchers pair- but they are difficult for him (4 years old) to get on independently. He has been able to open them once. Also related to the closure, is that the fact that the tongue of the shoes comes out every time they are opened, and yet it must be tucked under the side lip of the shoe in order to close the shoe completely (otherwise it comes between the velcro pieces). I think this is an issue due to the one large strap that is used, instead of the usual two that are run through holes, which keep the tongue stabilized. I hope I explained that well. It is bit of a nuisance for me, and again makes it difficult for my son to manage alone. Still, I would buy these again and would recommend them if your child really likes Spiderman and can maneuver the secrets of the closure.

I normally buys Pediped or See Kai Run for my sons because of reviews saying that they are good for growing feet. I always looks for shoes that are of good quality rather than good looking. But my 3 year old son kept asking for a pair of light up shoes. I brought a pair of PUMA light ups for my 5 year old last year and now my 3 year wants a light up shoes like his brother. My 3 year old wanted Spiderman and I saw this pair.With this pair, I brought it because my son kept asking for it. I didn't expect it to be of good quality, But I was wrong! Not only is the shoes well made, it is very nice looking too! My son loves this! I LOVES it too! There are 2 sets of light son the shoes. The eyes of the spiderman lights up as well as the sides of the shoes, which is very nice. I am so gladed that I brought this pair of shoes It is very good looking, doesn't looks cheap at all plus my son told me that it is a very comfortable.My son only wore it three times so far because he wanted to 'save' the lights for at nights. The lights is still working brilliantly, so not sure how long it will last. Will write another review about the light after a month of use. Overall, highly recommended for spiderman fans or any kids who wants a light up shoes.

Spider-Man is my grandson's hero, and he begged me for a pair of these sneakers (he knows who to go to when he really wants something!). They aren't the cheapest Spider-Man shoes being sold on the market, but I can say that they are very unique with terrific lighting effects both in daylight and in darkness. I've never seen any other sneaker that lights up with different colors and designs in the daytime and in shadows/darkness.His mother says that he has been wearing them all day and is so proud of them. The lights work perfectly. She showed him how to put them on with the large velcro tab. He can do it himself, but he likes her to do it for him. When these sneakers are worn, they stay good and closed.They are also very colorful. He told his mom that these shoes are very comfortable and she says that they fit him perfectly.I have to give these sneakers "Two Thumbs Up"!

This is the third pair of Spider-Man light-up shoes we've gotten for our young son, as he keeps outgrowing them. This is a new model, and in some ways is better — the wide, single-fasten strap is great, though the velcro targets could be a little larger.Nice touch: Two separate light-up areas.

My son loves them bc they're Spider Man, but it took coaxing to get him to wear these at first. The top piece with the spider man face on it is really hard and rubbed up against the front of his leg/ankle. Also, they are constantly coming off because the large tongue has to be tucked down just right so the top piece stays velcroed. I guess w movement it often comes undone. Stride Rite shoes shouldn't have issues like this--that's why i gave it a 2. I would be more generous if this were a Walmart or Target shoe.

My son was so excited to get a pair of these just to be disappointed as soon as he put them on. The eyes of the spider-man on one of the sneaker did not work. When we got a replacement, both sneakers were defective. Generally Stride Rite is an excellent choice of shoe ware, but I guess when it comes to lights that's not the case. I would think I'm not the only one who was faced with this problem and would at least expect Amazon center to check for quality. Returned both pairs.

My 2.5 year old son loves these sneakers! The wide sizes fit his foot well and the Velcro closure is easy for him to manage himself so he can put on and take off his own sneakers. The Spiderman design and lights are just an added bonus to a fabulous pair of shoes.
