Battery Replacement Kit Compatible with B&B CPS5.5-12

I have an older CyberPower 625VA backup UPS and this battery was a perfect fit. If you check on CyberPower's website, it states that the battery for this unit is no longer available, but this battery was a direct replacement for the one that was in the unit. I charged the battery overnight and turned on the unit the next day. Time will tell how long this replacement battery lasts, but I'll be satisfied if I get 3 years out of it. While purchasing the battery, I had an option to purchase a warranty with the battery for under $2.00, so I went ahead and did that as well.Pros• Direct fit replacement for CyberPower 625VA unit• Priced well (cheaper than replacing the unit)• Seems to work well out of the box (with suggested 8 hours charging)Cons• None at this time

Just to reiterate - this battery fits perfectly in Cyberpower SX650G which Cyberpower would rather you threw in the trash than replace the worn-out battery. Some reviews here have stated it won't fit, but it fit my unit which is about 8 years old. I removed the weird torx "security" screw with a tiny flat-head screwdriver. I've seen this unit on sale for only 7 or 8 bucks more than what I paid for the battery, but something about throwing away a perfectly functional piece of equipment just bothers me. Shipping was fast and battery arrived well-packed and charged so absolutely no complaints. Shame on Cyberpower for claiming this unit cannot be user serviced!

My CyberPower SX625G stopped turning on. Replacing the battery with this one solved the problem. It works great and provides about the same runtime as the OEM battery for a reasonable price.FYI if you have a CyberPower SX625G, it uses a torx security bit and is a pain to open. I ended up drilling the screwhead off because I couldn't be bothered to go buy a security bit... Says a lot about cyberpower as a company though that they would rather you buy a new unit rather than replace the battery yourself...

This battery is just barely cost effective and the battery fits. It will go into my 'spare' UPS that I put into service when another one fails. Over the years I've probably bought 8 CyberPower 625VA UPS units from Costco. The batteries in them start failing after about 2 years. At first, I just bought a new UPS because I couldn't find replacement batteries that cost much less with shipping than a new UPS. Then I found a source for well priced batteries and used them for my last 2 replacements. But that source no longer has batteries that fit. Right now this is the only option I can find.

Seriously, when I did my research on which battery to buy I saw stories of people not being able to install this battery in the 625va Cyberpower. It took me less than 3 minutes. Why oh why can people figure out how to do this simple change out??? I bet these are the same people that never got past the square peg in round hole issue back in pre-school.....Battery comes almost fully charged and worked right out of the box. Only difficult part was finding the right bit to open the security screw on the bottom of the UPS. After that, change out took less than 3 minutes.

My CyberPower 625VA UPS died all of a sudden, and I wanted to crack open to see what was the issue. The outer casing, you can see that the battery cover can be removed, but the specs on the UPS say it is not "user replaceable". You can replace it, given you find a security torx driver to remove the screw. Low and behold, the my CyberPower 625VA unit held a CPS5.5-12 battery, and this one from Amazon was a direct replacement. I popped the new battery in and the UPS works again!

Exactly the right replacement battery for the task. Perfect fit (measurements listed on Amazon were precise). Working very well. Superb packaging protected battery and terminals completely despite shipper's attempt to homogenize it in transit. Judging by specifications printed on each battery, this battery is superior to manufacturer's originally installed battery which I replaced. Saved $$ on warranty service and got a better battery.
