Wiry Coat Shampoo

I purchased this shampoo for my wiry coat Scottish Terriers last month. After several baths, I can honestly say that I’m not terribly impressed with the product. I was hoping that it would leave their coat smelling good and looking healthy, but it didn’t really do anything special for their hair and left it looking kind of lack lustered. I was impressed that it was gentle on them and didn’t seem to be filled with harsh chemicals, as I didn’t break out into hives while bathing them-Thus, I am giving it 3 stars!

it is perfect for a wiry coat dog. it says no tears so thats a good thing...it gets the dog clean without leaving oily residue and is easy to rinse out . it doesnt smell great but much better than the ones that make your dog smell like a hooker or a powder puff.it cost a lot even by the gallon. its impossible to find in stores. the seller got it to me quickly and packaging was good. it

Use this for our two Cairn Terriers. Our favorite shampoo by far! Leaves their coats soft and smelling fresh. Mild scent that lasts. Great for those that are sensitive to strong scents!

The bottle had opened and the shampoo leaked all over it. Thankfully, it was wrapped in plastic so it wasn't difficult to clean up. I thought it important to let you know. This isn't the first time I've ordered this product. It's great but the packaging fell short this time

Good product! It really does give wiry coats texture, volume, and coarseness. The only thing I don't like is the smell-- it smells like old man cologne!!! And then the product came busted! I lost about an eigth of the shampoo inside the packaging.

I have been using Bio-Groom wiry coat shampoo on my Airedales for over 30 years. I have to order it online, because it's hard to find in most pet supply stores. It leaves wiry-coated fur manageable. It's particularly good when I'm planning to use grooming shears when the coat dries. The dogs never get itchy spots when I use it. Highly recommend. It also smells great. In fact, the cats can't seem to wait to rub the dog after he's had a bath!

I use this shampoo for my cairn terrier, and it gets him smelling very nice and clean. I think it might be a bit drying for his skin though, because I notice a lot of itching after I use it on him. Overall, will probably continue to use, but maybe on a less frequent basis to prevent more irritation on his skin.

Excellent shampoo for a Cairn Terrier. I mixed 50/50 with warm water so it's easy to rinse out. Very important to give dog a 10 minute rinse otherwise it can cause skin to become dry and itchy. I use the Earthbath lavender spritz in-between baths--love this stuff.

Works good but has a strong smell, not the nicest scent.. Sort of chemically.

Very good. Did not leave my dog's hair softened, but wiry as a border terrier's should be. Very satisfied.
