Perfect protective collar that is soft, lightweight and very adjustable
Our cat had surgery on her neck area and this collar is exactly what we needed! She has a tubular gauze dressing from the vet next to her skin, then this soft collar on top to protect the sutures from being scratched or rubbed by her.The collar is incredibly light in weight and very soft to touch (almost like a sleeping bag material) but bulky enough to restrict her from scratching her neck. It took her about a day to realize she could run around and jump with the collar on, so now she is entirely comfortable and content with it on. It is a turtle neck style and we have found that the part nearest to her ears can be folded back towards the lower part so that she has normal peripheral vision, which also helps her feel more comfortable and normal. She can eat and drink easily. We give her short breaks with the collar off so that she can groom herself after eating. She has no problem sleeping with it on.The only issue is that the drawstring is fairly long, so we have to clip together the ends of the knot and bow after adjusting the tightness around the neck. A small binder clip works just fine for that. This collar is truly the best design we’ve seen and used, and we’ve tried several other soft cone type designs. This cat is also known to be able to wriggle out of mostly everything, and much to our surprise she hasn’t tried to get out of this collar at all! I’m so glad that I purchased two of these before it went out of stock. I hope it is restocked so that I can recommend it to my vet and others.

Perfect!
Our cat had a very bad allergic reaction to her food which caused her to lick pretty bad sores into her neck. The healing process has been long and pretty fruitless even with vet help. This cone really was our turn around point. She had absolutely no access to her neck ether by licking or scratching and we've finally been able to get good traction on her healing. Unfortunately she did recently slip out of it and we've not been able to find it. But she looks great and we're hoping at this point she just no longer needs it, but we might buy a replacement just in case she has a flare up. We're still trying different foods and treats to find something that works perfectly for her.So basically to sum it up, if you need your cat to avoid their neck specifically this is the perfect cone! It's basically just a cat parka, very warm and soft. It doesn't creat friction on the neck which we had issues with with other cones and didn't stop the cat from moving around which was also an issue with other cones. Would recommend highly for neck injuries specifically.

Good to protect feeding tube (etube)
My cat had to get a feeding tube (etube) placed. The vet gave her the collar that holds the tube in place but that doesn't protect the site from dirty claws and paws that like to scratch at the itchy wound and regrowing hair. We tried several kinds of regular cones, but she's so small (6 pounds) they impeded everything she did.I found this fluffy collar and it works pretty good. She can move, sleep, eat and drink without problems. And it keeps her paws away from her neck. She's wearing the small.I did as suggested by others and used a binder clip to clip the strings up out of the way.I haven't tried washing it yet so I can't speak to how it holds up.Pros- soft- small enough for most adult cats- doesn't restrict normal activitiesCons-a little more expensive than other cones- not sure how protective it would be for other kinds of needs

This collar is awesome!
My cat had a raw spot on her chest that just wouldn't heal because she kept licking at it. Not only did she put up with this collar, but it seemed comfortable for her, and she looked like a supermodel wearing a designer winter coat! I posted pictures of her in the collar on social media and every single time someone asked me for a link to order it!My only complaint is it would get dirty easily coming into contact with her wet food, but it's super-easy to clean. I hand-washed the collar in the sink, rolled it into a towel to soak up the excess water, then set it to dry in front of a heat vent, and it was dry within hours! (I ended up ordering a second one, so I'd have a spare while washing the dirty one.) I'm still giving it 5 stars, because it's a product used with a pet, so it's most likely going to get dirty! And since it is so easy to clean, it didn't matter. My solution to the wet food situation was to fold it down, gather the excess material behind her head, and clip it with a clothespin, and that did the trick of keeping the collar out of the food. Once she finished, she figured out to come to me in the next room to remove the clip. Hopefully, someone else will find this trick useful.Highly recommend this collar!

Easy to use and cat approved!
This collar is easy to put on, easy to remove for cleaning and seems so much more comfortable for the cat. After neutering, our cat was given the common plastic cone. He was able to slip it off of his tiny head within minutes. This arrived the day after ordering and was so much more comfortable for our cat. The cat looks adorable, sleeps comfortably and can still get to the food and water bowls. Thanks for a great product!

Soft and fit good but not effective
The feel of material was very soft like a sleeping bag. However, my cat easily got licking his back heal (leg) where he had surgery with stitches. Had to go back to the soft cone type collar the vet office provided.

Saved Me A Trip To The Vet
My kitty had a round sore on the underside of her neck that would not heal.Every time it was scabbed over she would scratch at it and then it would have to start healing all over again.I highly recommend this collar she was not happy at first with it but adapted and in about 2 weeks it healed and I couldn’t be happier.Soft and adjustable.

Comfortable and soft
Comfortable and soft, worked half the day and during the night she managed to lick her wound and all the purple spray off!!! So maybe only use it between the more sturdy cone. Use this while she can be monitored and wear a hard cone when at work or sleep!! The hard cone depresses her but clearly she will have to wear the uncomfortable when I'm not there and the nice soft one pictured here when I am present. With this one she can use the covered litter box, eat, and drink just fine unlike the hard cone.
