This scale is fantastic! My wife and I both use it to track our fitness progress and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to do the same. The key is to measure consistently at the same time of day. For instance, we weigh in at the beginning of the day before we’ve had anything to eat for the most accurate results. The app is very user friendly and it is not difficult at all for my wife and I to have separate profiles. The scale somehow recognizes who is standing on it and attributes those stats to the correct profile. The information it tracks is very useful and not gimmicky like a lot of the smart scales out there that inundate you with pretty useless data. The body fat and lean mass percentages, cardiovascular age, and metabolic age and are really interesting to track. The quality of the scale is very high. It feels solid and durable. It looks very clean and hasn’t gotten dirty even after about a month of use. If you’re looking for a smart scale, this is the one. It’s more accurate than virtually all other feet-only scales. For twice the money you can get the hand held electrode reader to increase accuracy by about .5% but for us it was not worth the extra money. The body comp was the way to go for us.

Was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes about 7 weeks ago. Changing everything in my diet and wanting a clearer picture of my body’s response to less glucose. The Withings scale is an amazing tool. Because of the scale I know I’m losing body fat, but also know that I’m gaining muscle at the same time. It’s like having a peace of mind that I’m not just “weighing” myself; I’m following my total progress. Easily recommend this scale, even if it was 2x the price.

I purchased the Body Comp scale (mainly for the body composition and vascular age data), after using the Withings Wireless BP cuff for almost 4 months. The connectivity between the BP cuff and the Withings Health Mate app works seamlessly. So, based on this experience, I purchased the Body Comp scale thinking all the poor reviews reporting issues were just over-blown. Wrong!!! Upon receiving the scales, I activated the provided batteries (removed the piece of plastic from the battery compartment ), and completed the setup via the Health Mate app successfully. Placed the scales in the spot (bathroom) they would be used, and took my first weigh-in. All worked as expected and the results immediately appeared in the Health Mate app. I then added my wife as a second user, through the Health Mate app. Again, all worked as expected. Her first weigh-in reported correctly. The second day provided the expected results for both profiles. Then, on the third morning, is when things went wrong (no settings on the scale had been changed, and no up-dates to our phones iOS). We both weighed-in. The scale automatically selected the correct profile for each of us and proceeded as expected. The issue with my profile was the body composition data showed on the scale LCD, but then reported an error when attempting to up-load the data to the Health Mate app. The scale then correctly selected my wife’s profile and showed all the data correctly on the scale’s LCD, but did not up-load any new data to the Health Mate app. Both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi were connected correctly and both phones showed a connection in the Bluetooth settings. During the following three days, every possible action to correct the issues were taken (e.g., confirmed the batteries were 100%, cleaned the top of the scales (even though the scales were brand new), moistened our feet per Withings FAQs, removed scales from the Health Mate app, deleted the Health Mate app from the phones and re-booted the phones, reinstalled the Health Mate app, restored scale to factory settings, and re-installing with the Health Mate app, etc.). After all these actions, making numerous searches on Withings’ website and the general internet, no solutions were found and the scale’s data never up-loaded correctly to the Health Mate app. The Withings’ website has very limited (and very basic) guidance in their FAQ and Troubleshooting sections addressing these issues (I checked multiple times to ensure I had not over-looked a possible solution). After the level of frustration I experienced with the data not up-loading to the Health Mate app and the very expensive price this scale cost, I decided it was an “omen” the scale would be a constant problem, so I returned it to Amazon for a full refund and purchased a different brand (much less expensive and worked much better straight out of the box). I would not recommend Withings Body Comp scale because there appears to be an issue either in the scale’s internal software or maintaining a reliable interface with the Health Mate app.

I got this to replace an aging fitbit scale that stopped working. In terms of features, it's leaps ahead of my previous scale. Where it slightly falls short, is its reliability. It gathers a lot more metrics than the fitbit did which I'm a big fan of (it's why I picked this model after all), but at least half the time, after waiting for it to take all its measurements, I get a red flashing X, and it tells me it failed to determine my heart rate, or whatever. I step off, and back on, to go through it again, and most the time, it gets it on the second try. The app is pretty decent, and syncs with Apple health, which I like. My only complaint with it is that it bombards me with constant notifications (mostly repetitive 'badges' for achievements I've already recieved). Adding a second user was more complicated than it seemed. The account was created easy enough, and it recognized the other user at weigh in time, but it just wouldn't sync to the app. After around a week, it just started working. Occasionally syncing fails for that user, and the metrics seem to take until the next weigh the next day to sync both days. Complaints aside, I'm happy with it, and I'd buy it again if I had to replace it. I'm hopeful that future firmware/app updates will fix the minor annoyances.

Premium quality

I previously owned an earlier model of the Withings scale and had some issues with maintaining wireless connectivity and accurate weighing, but I always liked that Withings synced with Apple Health and my wearables. Happy to report that this new model works flawlessly and accurately every time. The time to step on the scale and sync to my personal profile and report my weight, body composition, and even the weather for the day is extremely fast and part of my regular wake-up routine. It also still works very well in my digital ecosystem of health tracking.

CAUTION! BEWARE! Withings will hold your account and data hostage, with No support. At setup they required me to add Microsoft Authenticator to setup my account to use my scale.. Yeah it’s not your bank info, it’s a scale…. When I changed cell phones, unlike a normal provider they are unable to help me resolve Authenticator and login issue. I know my ID and password but because it’s a new phone Authenticator needed to be setup again for their app and they will not help. I am locked out of my scale (again not a bank account or my corporate account), because I bought a new phone... No tech support to call to fix it. Just slow emails. AND in their “concerns of my privacy” they want way more information for me to send them and include a video explaining the situation, providing them with more information than they have about me! Even when I tell them to delete all of my health info from the scale, I still cannot get anywhere via their email every few days. So, they keep my personal data, will not delete it, and will not let me back into my account so it will sync with my apps. Expensive scale now useless because they have implemented security measures they are incapable of supporting. Nice scale that seems to do the basics fine. BUT over inflated sense of security they aren’t able to support like a normal experience we all have with our banks and corporations. You’ve been warned!

I’ve been using the WITHINGS Body Comp Scale for just over a month, and it’s been an excellent addition to my health routine. Pros: Easy setup and configuration: Setting up the scale was quick and straightforward. The app guides you through the process smoothly, and the scale syncs data without any hassle once everything is configured. Detailed information: It doesn’t just track your weight; it also provides body composition metrics (like fat and muscle mass) and even vascular health, which gives me a more complete picture of my fitness progress. Perfect for weight tracking: This scale has been an essential tool for keeping me on track with my weight loss goals. The level of detail in the data makes it easy to monitor changes over time. Cons: Syncing with Samsung Health: I did run into some minor issues when trying to sync the scale with Samsung Health. It took a bit of fiddling to get it working, but once I figured it out, the connection has been seamless ever since. Overall, this scale has exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to closely track their weight and health metrics. It’s a valuable investment for anyone serious about fitness!

Die Waage wurde aufgrund der angepriesenen Genauigkeit und der App-Funktion welche mit Apple Health kompatibel ist zugelegt. Vorab möchte ich jedoch kurz erwähnen, dass ich die ermittelten Werte wie Körper- fett, -wasser, -muskelmasse, wie bei allen Waagen dieser Art immer nur als "groben" Anhalt nehme. Wer Wert auf exakte Werte legt, sollte hier zu Spezialisten gehen. Aber wer Wert auf exakte Werte legt (oft Leistungsportler) weis das wahrscheinlich ohnehin. Positive Aspekte: + Sehr wertige Waage in schönem Design + einfaches Einrichten der Waage und der dazugehörigen App + sehr genaue Gewichtsermittlung! Wiederholungsmessungen liefern eine extrem gute Wiederfindung der Werte. Das Bezieht sich auf alle Werte die die Wage ermitteln kann. Selbst bei Körperfett, Muskelmasse und Wasseranteil verändert sich der Wert bei einer direkt durchgeführten Wiederholungsmessung nur eine Stelle hinter dem Komma um max +- 0,1 + Individuell einstellbares und gut ablesbares Display + Einbindung über Wlan Negative Aspekte: - Es muss ein Konto bei Withings erstellt werden um de App Funktionalität zu Gewährleisten - Alle Daten werden dann auch zu Withings gesendet. (Muss man sich nur drüber bewusst sein. Mich stört es erstmal nicht) - Die Waage mag meine Frau nicht :-( Stelle ich mich auf die Waage, oder meine Tochter, zeigt die Waage unser Gewicht an und kann dieses auch uns als Nutzer zuordnen und startet alle dem Profil zugeordneten Messungen. (Man hat auch die Möglichkeit den enstprechenden Nutzer durch Gewichtsverlagung auf das linke oder rechte Bein auszuwählen.) Stellt sich meine Frau auf die Waage, wird ihr Gewicht angezeigt. Mehr aber auch nicht. Gut, bei jedem 10.ten Versuch klappt es dann doch, aber wir wissen nicht warum. Da ich die Waage aber hauptsächlich benutze und meine Frau unsere alte Tanita, haben wir kein Thema damit. Seltsam ist es aber schon.... Das wars auch schon! Ich finde die Waage Klasse, die Funktionen absolut ausreichend und die Qualität ist bis jetzt auch beanstandungslos. Klare Kaufempfehlung!!

La balance est exceptionnelle ! Les points positifs excèdent largement les points négatifs, même si j'en relève quelques uns. Points positifs : - Précision de la balance - Précision des différentes mesures (sauf masse musculaire) - Qualité de l'application, précise et riche en explications simples - Liens avec les autres mesures apple - Design très simple et joli - Qualité des matériaux utilisés, la balance fait vraiment robuste. - Simplicité et efficacité du changement d'utilisateur avec un mouvement du pied. Points négatifs : - Malgré la précision, parfois des variations de poids illogiques en une seule journée - Imprécision relative de la mesure de masse musculaire - l'application demande beaucoup trop d'attention (pensez à désactiver les notifications, beaucoup trop nombreuses)
