Amazing Backup/Monitoring Camera System for RVs
I did a lot of research and I bought these with the intent on having rear and side visibility on my 31’ Class C motorhome. Right out of the box they worked. I testing them in my garage and they were (to my surprise) plug and play. Both Cameras synced instantly with the monitor and there was no setup involved at all. I tested them for the first 3 days (one of them on the motorhome) and everything worked like a charm. In testing them, I found that both cameras’ batteries lasted in full sun or partial shade at least 9 - 11 hours with 2 bars left. I found in dual screen mode that both cameras’ images were a bit stretched on the 7” monitor, but still very useful and I got used to it. I didn’t have any problems of the cameras coming out of sync or losing the image while driving. For all you folks that were worried about signal distance. It wasn’t an issue for me at all. In fact, in the picture I posted, you’ll see the Palm trees in the background and that’s where the cameras were. I store my RV about 100 yards from my house and was setting up the monitor in the RV. I turned the monitor on in the RV and to my surprise got a clear picture (as you can see) of my backyard! The camera magnets are “Crazy” strong and I struggle at times getting them off the RV, so no worries about them falling off. There is also a rubber base which keeps the camera from scratching the motorhome or any surface you stick it to. I now have used them 3 times traveling so far (with Battery life = 9 hours + each day) without any issues. The one thing I did find, that you should use the large antennas on both the cameras and the monitor. I found in using the short ones, the camera’s battery meter didn’t always show up on the monitor. The longer antennas fixed that problem. All in all, the camera quality is excellent and having zero issues with the setup. Charging them are easy and generally recharge them overnight before using them the next day. I am also leaving them on to run the battery down as far as possible before recharging them again. I feel it will help the longevity and I hate short charging rechargeable batteries. Taking a long trip here short and will report back on their performance. Once other thing, I researched that you could conceivably attach a 10W (external) solar panel (with a USB-C plug) to the camera (attached it to the roof) to give you more battery longevity into the evening. So far, I haven’t seen the need since the batteries are holding up during while driving. So far so good and very happy I bought these.

Easy RV Installation & Great Camera Quality 🚐📷
I recently installed the DVKNM Magnetic Solar Wireless Backup Camera HD1080P with the 7" DVR monitor on my RV, and I’m very impressed. The installation was incredibly easy—it really did take just a few minutes, and the magnetic mount made it simple to position exactly where I needed it without any complicated wiring. The video quality is clear and sharp, which makes backing up my RV much safer and less stressful. The wireless connection has been reliable, and the solar charging is a great feature since I don’t have to worry about constantly recharging it. Another highlight was the customer service. They were very responsive and helpful when I had a quick question during setup, which made the whole experience even better. They also sent a metal plate to install the camera. Overall, this is a great backup camera system—easy to install, works great for RV backing, and backed by excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend it.

Great...Until it Wasn't Great...and then it was again
UPDATE: Upgrading from 4 to 5 stars. Regarding my defective cameras (batteries died in both cameras after 2-to-3 weeks of non-use), I contacted the DVKNM folks via email on Dec 18, 2024 and they shipped me 2 new cameras which arrived 2 weeks and 1 day later (Jan 2, 2025) which, during the Christmas holiday shipping madness may be pretty good. I had to sync the new cameras up to the original monitor using instructions that they sent me and that went smoothly (other than I synced both cameras to the same channel the first time so only one worked, then re-synced the 2 cameras to 2 different channels on the monitor and all was well). I ordered my first set in early March 2024. I liked it so much that I ordered a second pair (system) in late May 2024 (details later, but wanted to use all 4 cameras on one monitor but that requires syncing the cameras to the different monitor so I haven't done that yet). I loved the easy setup, the great picture quality on the monitor, and the ease of use. I pull several different trailers and I put one of these cameras on the tail gate of my pickup truck to help connect the trailer, and then put the other camera (or both cameras) on the back of the 20' flat bed trailer or the 24' enclosed trailer and can easily see what is behind the trailer. Up until this week I only had 2 complaints (neither of which would stop me from recommending these cameras: (1) the solar charging is really good IF you had 2-to-3 days to spare waiting for the camera to charge (note the sarcasm!). On the other hand, the USB charging system is reasonably fast. (2) The windshield mount was really amazing in how good it stuck to the windshield. But only until I had to take it down to move it; then it would no longer stay mounted to the windshield. So, if you need to use the windshield mount then make sure that it is mounted exactly where you want it because if you move it then it will no longer do a good job of holding the camera monitor. However, this week I took the original purchased set out of my truck and tried to use them. The batteries in both cameras indicated one bar so I plugged the USB into them. After a short time the battery charge indicator showed all 4 lights. But, when I disconnected the USB charging cable, the battery charge indicator went back to showing 1 bar. When I tried to use the camera it would last maybe 3 or 4 minutes and then die. Leaving the cameras on USB charge overnight did nothing to improve the situation and they, like before, showed full charge while the USB was plugged into the camera but immediately went to 1 bar when the USB cable was disconnected. So, my assumption is that the batteries will no longer take a charge after 9 months of use. The Amazon return window has closed so now I will attempt to see what options I have with the manufacturer's warranty. I will update this review if there is any significant POSITIVE or NEGATIVE feedback with my interaction with the manufacturer. I haven't used the 2nd camera set yet beyond the initial charge and set up. I bought the second set for the primary purpose of using all 4 cameras on the first monitor, but that didn't work because the two camera systems are on different frequencies, and having only 2 cameras on one system seemed to be giving me all the views that I needed.

Great price for a great product
I have been using the DVKNM for just at a year with great results. We use it by attaching the camera to the rear bumper of our 32' travel trailer with the incredibly powerful magnetic base. There has never been an issue with the reception by the monitor on our dashboard and the clarity is sharp and clear. I have friends that have purchased much more expensive systems with poor results. I highly recommend this product.

Great Investment - works well and exactly as advertised
Purchased the AP7-S (7" Magnetic Solar Wireless Backup Camera System) for use behind a 6'x10' trailer pulled by a Toyota Sienna. Solar recharging also works well; I have not had to manually recharge the camera since its initial charging before attaching it to the trailer. The magnet attaching the camera to the trailer is very strong and I can attest that it has not budged a millimeter since its initial placement. The view monitor is attached via the suction cup to the front window of our van and it has not budged either. Picture quality is good; no connectivity or reception issues and good clarity. The camera has been in use now for nearly 6 months and it has exceeded my expectations. It does what you would expect a backup camera to do, but more importantly, it provides a clear view of the road and cars behind when traveling on the interstate, which is the primary reason I purchased it. Additionally, it has performed well in various weather events, including heavy snow and heavy rain. Highly recommend.

Very nice backup camera
I bought this backup camera for my camper and pickup. I had purchased another camera that didn't work well at all and decided to try this one instead. I liked the fact that no wiring was involved and that you could easily move the camera from vehicle to vehicle. The camper isn't a daily driver after all. The first thing I did was mount the extended antennas to the monitor and camera. I placed the camera on the back bumper of my 26' camper and pulled the truck up as if I was pulling it. The signal was very strong and no problem reaching the monitor. The back bumper of the camper is not a good spot for the camera as it is too small an area and too low. There is no other steel to attach to but I plan on attaching a steel plate to the roof. and setting the camera on it. And boy oh boy are those magnets strong! On steel you won't have to worry about it coming off at all Besides, the higher the camera the bigger the view. I did not hook up the camper and take it on the road so I can't review how it performs at highway speeds. Its dead winter here and I'm not pulling it out just to test that. I will amend my review if it has traveling issues. I haven't had it out on a pitch black night to see how well the night vision is but at dusk the camera picture was much brighter than what my eye was seeing. I expect it to be ok but obviously not as good as daytime. I wanted to attach the camera to the tailgate of my 2022 RAM 1500 when it wasn't needed for the camper but was unable to. I hadn't realized that my tailgate was aluminum to save weight. The magnet had no effect on it. Instead, I stuck it to top of the cab and it sits there nicely secure. The resulting high perch gives a great wide view to the rear. If I get hit from behind I'll have the evidence on the SD card that was included (64GB). And don't think these are the only uses! I bought a 110V to 12VDC Power Outlet for $20 so I can plug the monitor in to my house voltage and we can watch the wildlife outside and it can also act as a home security camera by putting it up on my steel roof. It has 4 little blue lights on the front to let you know it's on so it gives itself away but that's easily fixed by putting a little piece of black electrical tape over them lol. You can also use it that way at the campground. Remember, as long as the monitor is on it will be recording so you can either see intruders live or on the card. The card records in 1 minute segments so be sure to set the date/time on the monitor. Since no power source or wires are needed you can literally put it anywhere! The camera has a solar panel on top and is supposed to stay fully charged during the day and have enough power to carry it through the night. You can also charge it with the USB C adapter included. One more unexpected perk! They give you one free accessory when it arrives. You can pick from 4 accessories. I chose a 2nd camera so I can put them on top of the cab facing forward and rear facing so I'm covered both ways. Overall, I think this camera will fit my needs superbly. It's built well and the picture is very clear. Love love love the portability and wireless install. So far I'm very pleased.

Great option for wireless horse trailer camera.
I bought about a year ago to use with my horse trailer, based on the great reviews. It has been excellent for watching what is going on in the trailer while hauling. I haven’t used it very much as a back up camera, when I have it has been in the back of the trailer when backing in to a parking spot. I thought I’d use it to align the hitch with the ball when hooking up but I actually do better without. I have the screen stuck with adhesive tape on the dash of my F250 which works well when it’s in use but when not using it, it is large so it blocks the driving view a bit. Would be better if it there was a way to take it off when not in use or fold it down. It plugs in to the the cigarette lighter to power it, unfortunately that plug broke, but the seller is sending a replacement (once I submit a review), so 5 stars for customer service.

Good product for the money
I was skeptical at first, but I saw a lot of reviews on the product, so I thought I would give it a try. This worked perfectly for my trailer when backing up and avoiding obstacles. The screen is really clear and is easy to operate. I like the simplicity of it and how fast I can get the camera to appear when I am ready to use it when backing up. I no longer have to keep getting in and out of the truck to back it up in a spot now. I really like how the Bluetooth works really well with no interference. You will need to buy a special plug if you don't want to hardwire or do not have a 12v cigarette lighter accessory plug. I have a 2022 Trail Boss, and I had to get a plug that would convert 110v in the console to 12v in order for the camera to work for me. I have had no issues once I got the converter plug.

Melted while attached to the windscreen
The product itself is great, easy to set up and use. The only issue is that the screen backing melted while it was attached to the windscreen.
