## Description

Selecting a suitable mango variety: Choose a mango variety that is suitable for your climate and location. Different varieties have different requirements, so research which types are best suited for your area. Obtaining a mango seed or seedling: There are two main ways to start growing a mango plant: using a seed or a grafted seedling. While growing from a seed is possible, it can take several years for the plant to bear fruit. Grafted seedlings, on the other hand, are more reliable and will typically produce fruit within a few years. Preparing the planting site: Mango plants prefer a sunny location with well-draining soil. Make sure the soil is rich in organic matter and has good drainage. Prepare the soil by loosening it and removing any weeds or debris. Planting the seed or seedling: If you're using a seed, remove the outer husk and plant it about an inch deep in the soil with the concave side facing upwards. If you're using a seedling, dig a hole deep and wide enough to accommodate the root ball, then place the seedling in the hole and backfill with soil, ensuring the graft union is above the soil level. Watering: Water the newly planted mango plant thoroughly after planting, ensuring the soil is moist but not waterlogged. During the first year, water regularly, especially during dry periods. After the first year, mango plants are relatively drought-tolerant but will still benefit from regular watering.

Review: Poor quality - Not worth the money. Poor quality.
Review: Good green Live plant - Inspite of 6 days in transit in hot as summer of 43 degree, plant survived well due to good packaging in thick hard cardboard , and care by desertcart during transit. I gut a clear grafted plant but is it what I have asked for i.e Ratnagiri variety will have to wait and see, probably will revisit after some time.

## Features

- Selecting a suitable mango variety: Choose a mango variety that is suitable for your climate and location. Different varieties have different requirements, so research which types are best suited for your area.

After the first year, mango plants are relatively drought-tolerant but will still benefit from regular watering.
- Mulching: Apply a layer of organic mulch, such as wood chips or straw, around the base of the plant. This helps retain moisture, suppress weeds, and provide nutrients as it breaks down over time.
- Pruning: Prune your mango plant to maintain its shape, remove dead or diseased branches, and promote better air circulation. Pruning should be done during the dormant season, typically in late winter or early spring.
- Protecting from pests and diseases: Monitor your mango plant for common pests like aphids, mealybugs, and fruit flies. If you notice any infestations, treat them with appropriate organic or chemical pest control methods. Similarly, keep an eye out for diseases such as powdery mildew or anthracnose, and take appropriate measures to prevent or treat them.
- Harvesting: Depending on the mango variety and your location, mangoes generally ripen in summer or early fall. The fruit should be firm but slightly soft to the touch and have a pleasant aroma. Gently twist or cut the fruit from the tree when it is ready to harvest.
