Our dishwasher works so well when we use this extra salt in the unit, all the glasses also come out clear and sparkling we have a water softener unit also but the results of using the dishwasher recommend product make the finish dishwasher clean 100% better.

Don't know why, but this has completely messed up my dishwasher. The glassware is now coming out milky rather than clear. I have very hard water but this made things much worse. If you glassware is fine, seriously don't bother.
