Truly amazingly good guitar worth much much more
I'm 79 and have been a guitar player since I was 16. Probably owned more than 100 guitars during that time, both acoustic an electric. This guitar is AMAZING for $120. Tuners are good, setup was spot on right out of the box. Finish was flawless. Pickups really have great tone and projection. No sharp edges on the frets and neck straight as an arrow. Hit the neck lightly with some 400 grit sandpaper to smooth some raised grain a bit and then applied some cabinet wax so now its super fast. Strings are ok but will probably replace with Fender XL 9-42s.. Only gripe is the tone pots, which are very low range and are clearly the weak spot on this guitar. Since I'm comfortable tearing into a guitar's guts I'll probably replace them with some Strat pots when I get the time. In the meantime I'll adjust my amp and pedal settings to get the desired effect. BUY THIS GUITAR, you're unlikely to find a better value anywhere.. Although I already have 2 Telecasters I'm going to get the Telecaster model next, just to see how it compares with my $900 Fender version.

Very good for the price!
Looks great, plays well. Could use a bit of setting up but was totally playable out of the box, just a quick tune. Finish is good but not perfect, dust in paint on back of guitar in one or two places and could use a little more buffing, but it's a beautiful color. The bridge pickup (humbucker) sounds fantastic, the middle and neck pickups are fine but I don't notice much difference between the two of them. Spring tension on the trem came so that it's decked. I'm sure you could adjust it so it floats but with the plastic nut, decked and seldom used is probably best. Overall for around 100 USD, seems really good. Neck feels good and was set to body well and is straight with just a hint of relief.

Excellent platform for an upgrade to a pro guitar.
Like Elmo Karjalainen (a professional guitarist) said, “a good and very nice guitar” … “a guitar that when you play it, you want to play more”. As you can see from the back of the neck, this neck is indeed made of flamed maple wood, which surprised me quite a bit given the low price and made me extremely happy.

Nice looking
Arrived in a nice gig bag. Hardware of lesser quality than IYV. Great jade finish with triple ply pickguard. Great neck with minimal finish. Frets were level with minimal sprout. Fret appears to be maple. Some type of plastic nut. 9 1/4" radius. All in all a great value. A few hardware upgrades and you have a winner!!!

In Love
I LOVE THIS GUITAR ! I know it isn't name brand but I worked in a guitar shop for 15 years and this strat is a homerun. At this price point you won't get premium tuners or pickups....BUT......The build quality is exceptional. Beautifully straight neck joined to the body at the proper angle. No fret sprout. Frets were polished well but I went ahead and gave them the white glove polish treatment. String spacing was perfect. Plenty of fret room for both E strings. I just put on a let of Ernie Ball Primo strings ( 9.5 - 44 ) and once they break in will do string height and intonation. I still cannot believe this guitar is sub $199. It looks and plays like a guitar worth several hundred more and it will never leave my collection. ALERT! Good luck setting the intonation. The bridge assembly is too close to the bottom pickup. I had to back off the saddles on numerous strings to the absolute max. I mean the saddle springs were so compressed they could not be adjusted further back. I just barely managed to get it right by the thinnest of margins. I am going to go to a hardware store and hopefully find some shorter springs. Not happy about this aspect though everything else is perfect. Sometimes it only takes one little thing to drop the stars.

the best kept secret
this has to be one of the best strat copy style guitars out their out of the box period. bar none.. I added Ernie ball 2222 hybrid slinky 9-46 strings and wow. 3 ply pick guard .. intonated correctly out of the box. fret ends are fine , neck is f;at no bow .. pickups position top to bottom top closest to the strings 472 ohm. 241 ohm 485 ohm 313 ohm .. 858 ohm bottom position .. for a beginner A++. another nice indio is the offset 20 or OS20 amazing also plus a really nice padded gig bag worth $30. the Teal color is awesome, maple neck, string trees, if you wanted to upgrade to double humbuckkers pick guard would be an option also for cheap alnico v ...

Cheap platform for customization
I love the color. It's a good guitar for cheap. It is a great platform for customization. In an effort to replicate the color scheme I saw on a Fender, I replaced the neck with a cheap Fender style one in with a dark rosewood fretboard and I swapped in a tortoiseshell pickguard with cream colored pickups and knobs. I'm less than $200 in and the guitar I used for inspiration costs $800. I'm new to guitars and the only other one I have is a Squier Debut Series Stratocaster. The Indio has a thicker body, making it a heavier guitar overall, but that is not an issue for me. I gather that the Indio is likely at a more standard size/weight while the particular Squier model I have is on the lighter end. The Indio is a great beginner guitar, and cheap enough that you don't have to worry too much about messing it up by making alterations.

Es una buena guitarra, sobretodo si estás aprendiendo a tocar. Yo ya llevo varios años tocando y hoy en día la uso únicamente para practicar en casa (sin amplificador). El color está muy bien!

Nice slim neck with a good full sound. But the freet edges are very rough and need smoothing out.
