simple mixing and coincidentally my harvest was great for first time using the product

The first 2 times I bought Uncle John's mycodirt, it came with 3 packages that needed to be mixed in the bucket. It was simple enough and it worked out fine.I ordered again and the "updated product came premixed in 2 bags. They weighed 2.5 lbs in total. It seemed light for a 10 lb mix, bur I followed the directions to the letter. I ended up with 2" of standing water on top of the saturated dirt in the bucket. There is simply no way that 2.5 lbs of substrate can hold 14 cups of water! I emailed the company and have not heard a word back.I reordered the product and I got the same 2.5 lbs of premixed substrate. I boiled 14 cups of water as directed, and this time, I added it slowly, stirring it in with a sterile spoon instead of pouring it all in at once. There were 6 cups of water left over!Either the last 2 boxes I bought were short a bag of dirt or someone at Uncle John's neglected to update the directions in the YouTube video. Lest you think that I'm a dolt and can't follow directions, I was a full-time environmental scientist for more than 35 years. 14 CUPS IS WAY TOO MUCH WATER!In either case, it would have been nice if someone from the company had returned an email after I reached out .I won't be buying Uncle John's premixed substrate again

I selected this product after looking at a few others that were similar for mushroom substrate. There's quite a few that are pre-pasteurized, and despite this being my first time jumping into mycology, I decided to try this mix. It's a great product. The instructions are clear, and they even throw in a few stickers as well. Make sure you have a 5 gallon bucket that's clean and wiped down before you start.

I am confused in the picture. It looks like the box contains three different bags each of them a different color when I got my box. It only had two bags inside of it and they were the same color dirt coloredAnd I’m just confused if I got shorted product or what I’m just confused probably a simple answer. I feel dumb for asking this question.

UPDATE:Uncle Johns reached out to me and offered to send me another box. I will try another grow with this product and update my feedback based on that harvest. Either way, amazing customer service!!I had really high hopes for this product, because the packaging was awesome and it arrived very quickly. However, even after following the instructions to the letter - I found that I was constantly having to mist my mediums to keep them hydrated. Even then, I found that I was only getting half of the harvest than when I used a competitors product.

I never thought I could grow mushrooms until now! This product is great, the mushrooms are the best I’ve ever had. So nice being able to grow my own. The packaging is awesome too! 10/10 would recommend.

The media could not be loaded.  Instructions are incorrect I don't know if the dirt's any good yet or not but because the instructions are incorrect it caused me to have to add unsterilized dirt to my liquid soup. First of all the instructions say to mix the bags together thoroughly my bags came pre-mixed you could obviously tell there was dark black brown and white specks they were exactly the same they were pre-mixed so you don't need to mix them anymore. Then it said add 14 cups of water the bags were the exact same size I only use one bag I use seven cups of water and I came out with soup so I had to add part of the other bag to make the dirt the right moisture and it was a nightmare because I had to quickly do it the dirt wasn't sanitized right it'll probably just grow mold run the whole thing.
