TheraGun Therabody Prime 5th Gen Deep Tissue Massage Gun | Black

9/2/2026 : Everyone's use case and experience is different. For us, I started with the G4 pro, loved it, loved the handle, it allowed me to keep healing a badly injured lower back, unfreezing my muscles gradually so I could keep doing physiotherapy and personal training. But, one of the batteries died, and it was time to upgrade. I've tried a cheap Chinese massage gun a few years ago, and, I will say it outright, the theragun handle is far superior to a simple handle. It makes all the difference to doing a full body massage with ease, versus getting terrible hand cramps and dreading using the massage gun. I went into the therabody store, and was shocked that the new G6 line is almost completely silent ! The prime is now strong enough in its stall force to satisfy all my needs, and I'm thrilled! I have been using it for only a couple of days, and if it continues to work like this then I am more than happy with this massage gun! I can do a full body massage while watching videos on my computer without turning the volume of the videos up at all! Even with a G5, you have to turn the volume up a bit. With the G4, I would have to blast the volume. The G6 feels and sounds like a premium spa experience, and it DOES make a difference! Being quiet, feeling soft in the hand, the whole process makes my body automatically take deep, relaxing breaths, which helps muscles unclench, and stretch out knots. I feel so hopeful when I use this, hopeful that I can fully heal, and get into great shape, and look forward to great health moving forward in life. Life is finally the future we wanted it to be. The pressure is perfect for me, but I am not a fan of putting too much pressure with a massage gun, since that can be dangerous. If a knot is problematic, I use a lacrosse ball on it. It's just safer that way. The control is better than the G6, because it starts in the setting you last used, and not from the lowest setting. Also, the battery lasts longer, letting me easily do my entire body without running out of juice. From what I have seen, the two main issues people have had with these guns is with the battery dying before expected, and the case near the pump breaking. If any of those occurs, I will update here. If not, you can assume it is working well.

A great middle ground between the Pro and Mini models.

The Theragun brand has never let us down. We purchased our first Theragun in 2024—the Theragun Elite (5th Gen)—and have been very happy with its performance. It has been reliable and has made a noticeable difference in our muscle recovery. Because of our great experience, we recently purchased the Theragun Prime (6th Gen) for a family member who uses it after every workout. We know it will be a valuable part of his recovery routine. After comparing the Theragun Prime (6th Gen) with our Theragun Elite (5th Gen), we found that the overall performance is very similar. There are not many noticeable differences between the two models, and both provide excellent massage quality and muscle recovery. Thank you for continuing to make high-quality products.

As advertised. Works great and powerful. Time will tell if it holds up. Only then will I be able to say it was worth the money.

I'm not a rich man, but I am a sore man. Decided to treat my body to this top of the line massage gun, after using a few other cheaper brands and having them break down on me. I figured, it's almost $400 bucks, so it must be worth it. Even if it was made in China, which I try to steer clear from with other items in my life. I've had it for 1.5 months before it just stopped turning on, unfortunately. *Video Attatched* Had to ship it under a warranty claim and am unsure when I'll see my TheraGun or replacement again. I honestly wish I could just return it, as I'm less than optimistic about whatever they send me back working any longer than the first one. Too late, because it worked past the first 30 day return window before breaking. I have no idea when my repaired/replacement will be shipped back to me. I hate to be so critical about this TheraGun, but none of this sits well with me because of how much money it cost me. In the meantime, I'm still a sore man. Buyers beware...

Great percussion massage gun. The 5 levels is more than sufficient. Wish it came with more tips. The one thing that I wish was more visible was the battery level. As well as note if you are sensitive to vibrations with your hand it really does vibrate when holding.

I wanted one for a while but the price tag was a bit too far for me but now I am on a HSA plan and I was almost maxed out so I took the plunge and let me just say I wish I had a long time ago. I had a cheaper, knockoff brand one that basically just vibrated and it did okay but never seemed to help more than for a few minutes after use. This thing is a beast, it thumps like no other and is easily adjustable speed wise and the heat option works very well. It comes with a bunch of different attachment heads that hit every spot right. My girlfriend has an ongoing hip issue and she said it hurts every day but after using this she went days without pain. I can't explain how but that thing just works. Going to buy the cooling head attachment to go with it too to complete the set. If you were on the fence about these get down off of it and go buy it!

Let me start off by saying what made me buy this Theragun. I've had back pain ever since I was 18 yrs old. I had fallen and injured my back. Jump ahead several years ahead I've had acupuncture, chiropractor's , pain medicine, purple mattress, adjustable bed, cheaper massage guns, and a massage chairs, and everything that you can thing of some items helped with some pain but sooner or later id be back to square one inpain. My pain interfered with my daily routines but a few weeks ago I was visiting my son out of state and had went to Andretti indoor Karting and games and got blasted from behind by this lady and it Jared my back later that evening I could barley walk. I got in his massage chair (same as mine back home) helped a little but not enough. Then my son said try this he gave me the Theragun mini with the standard tip. After jamming it into my back until the battery wore out I did it again the next day and OMG .... I had never felt better in my entire life. My back felt incredible I was able to sleep better with zero pain,stand tall, bend over everything felt amazing. So after leaving I knew I had to get me one just incase I had an episode. So even though I liked the mini holding it was kinda rough. So I purchased the Theragun Therabody prime 5th generation and using the thumb tip for deeper soothing omg feels amazing. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has had similar issues. The handle makes it so much easier for you to administer self treatments and dig i to the pain. I will say I used my son's on level 3 when I was there, now that I have mine and it goes up to level 5 I will say as of yet I have not needed it that intense yet. I feel amazing. I also want to say start out on the lowest setting until you can withstand the pain I have a high tolerance and a high drive to feel better so I did what I needed to do to feel better. Thank you Theragun for inventing this amazing product it gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

Great massage gun, very powerful, great service

Reviews of the G4 mentioned that it was too noisy - i.e. couldn't watch TV while using it. This G5 is quiet enough to allow me to watch TV while using it. It is easy to use, and easy to sync with the app - which is useful when working on particular issues.
