Extremely satified from a former professional cleaner review Onepwr Evolve Pet Elite
Before I start the actual review let me say that I have cleaned professionally for many years. I'm now in another profession but I still keep my own house very clean. Also, I own 7 vacuums besides the Hoover Onepwr that I am reviewing. I own three Eureka Mighty Mights (one for each floor in my house). I own a 27-year-old professional Sanitaire upright, a Royal upright, and a semi-professional Eureka upright (one upright for each floor). Previously, I scorned the cordless vacuum but this Thanksgiving weekend I watched my sister-in-law whip out a cordless vacuum after each meal and clean the dining room and kitchen in a jiffy. So, I started looking for a cordless vacuum. Also, I'm 67, still working part-time, and babysit my grandson twice a week. I needed to get my floors clean more easily. Now for the vacuum.PROSNo cord - this cuts the cleaning time.It is lightweight. It is light enough to carry upstairs. However, I don't carry vacuums up and down stairs because it's a trip hazard to do so.It stands up in my coat closet and has a small footprint. The light shows all the dirt. I almost didn't buy the lighted version and now I'm super glad that I did.The dirt cup comes out and empties very easily. I have osteoarthritis in my hands and have lost a lot of grip strength but I can use every aspect of this vacuum easily.Battery life is great I vacuum downstairs (1000 square feet) on medium and use only half the battery. The battery is easy to take out and put in both the vacuum and the charger.Quiet- this vacuum is quiet. No tools- for me this is a pro because I believe that uprights are better without tools attached to them.Goes from my wool rugs to laminate seamlessly.Leaves no marks on my laminate.Cleaning power. After using this vacuum for 4 days I used my Mighty Mite on my downstairs. My Mighty Mite has always left some debris behind. After the Might Mite, I went over the laminate floors again with the Hoover Onepwr and there was plenty to vacuum up. Then I went over the same floors to check for dirt with the light - no debris. This vacuum fits under my lower kitchen cabinets. The smaller size of the vacuum allows you to get into tight places.CONSThe price on the Hoover Onepwr dropped $28.00 a few days after I bought it - bummer.I few threads from my sewing area got wrapped around the beater bar but they were easily pulled out.The Hoover Onepwr does leave some dirt next to the baseboard-but not much. I solved this by vacuuming (as much as possible) so that the vacuum faces the baseboards. Once a week I take my cheap Dollar Tree broom and sweep the edges. It takes me seven minutes. Not quite strong enough for the nap on wool rugs. Even on high this vacuum just lifts only the surface of the nap on my rugs. I will still be using my Sanitaire once a week on my wool rugs.SummaryI used to vacuum my floors every day but I got older (translate slower and more tired) and no less busy. So, my floors weren't getting vacuumed and got crunchy. I'm amazed at how having a lighter vacuum that you don't plug in motivates you to vacuum the floors. I'm also completely blown away by how clean the Hoover Onepwr gets my laminate floors.I cannot speak to durability because I have only had the vacuum for one week. Other reviewers mentioned that this vacuum is durable (I hope they are accurate). I am impressed enough by the performance of the vacuum that I put the hand-held vacuum on my Christmas list. I hope this helps anyone considering this vacuum.

Lightweight, does a good job, Hoover has very good customer support.
I love this little vacuum cleaner. It is lightweight and does a good job and is quiet. I also have found Hoover support to be excellent. I have bought three of these for different people. One of them had a battery gave out after about a year. Hoover replaced it. On my mom's vacuum cleaner, the little hose that connects The base of the vacuum cleaner to the debris canister would not continue to stay attached. Hoover replaced the whole vacuum cleaner for her. I really like this vacuum cleaner and I really like Hoover.

Hello China. Goodbye Trustable American Brand.
Opened it, gave it a short test which is all it took to pack it up and send it back. As always, Amazon is standing behind its sale in stellar fashion and I continue to appreciate that 100% but I can't recommend Hoover anything anymore, and particularly this "New and Improved" (NOT) cordless vacuum model. I had 2 of its predecessor Linx models which I loved but they didn't last. This new model is inferior in every way. Here are its problems right out of the box: First, its design. As numerous other reviews point out, the on-off controls are right where your grasp of the handle has to be so that even being aware of it, you still can't help but turn it off unintentionally and repeatedly. Second, this model is less maneuverable than its predecessor Linx and also heavier so that it is cumbersome. Thirdly, its head design is such that it cannot pick up dust or debris (like crumbs) within 1-2 inches of a baseboard or threshold between rooms, whether butting the head up to the baseboard frontwise OR running the head along the baseboard sideways. So in effect, after vacuuming a room, you would have to follow up on all the edges of the room (or anything else you are vacuuming around such as table legs or threshold) with a broom or handheld dustbuster. This is NOT an improved model.Next, at least the one I received, not only did NOT have 50% more suction power than it's predecessor, but not as much. Or maybe I should say "effective" suction power. Again, that could be a matter of the head design.Aside from that, in rereading reviews, I lost confidence that this machine would be at all reliable. Too many of those reviews report that the machine dies within a couple of months. And that leads me to Hoover Customer Service anymore. I have tried to reach them on their Customer Support phone line numerous times, weekdays, various times of the day, and same as others have reported, I always get their same recording that states customer service hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST daily. But then it goes on to state, "We are currently closed." And it's that way every time you call, no matter when. That same rereading of reviews (search term "chat") reveals that their chat feature is also completely useless because it offers only canned multiple choice answers to whatever problem you identify. That indicates pre-recorded artificial intelligence bots, no humans there either. Now a number of those reviews seem to have somehow contacted someone (or it may be another prerecorded bot), but apparently if you have a defective part, even if it arrived Dead on Arrival out of the box, you must pay the shipping to send it back and get a replacement part that works. This seems to be often either the battery or its charger, because more than one review reported that the wrong charger for the battery was packed in the box.And all of this while their website cheerfully touts it's outstanding customer service? Where???Very sad to see a formerly trustable American standby company ring its own death knells this way, but all the signs are there. And that's after persisting to invest benefit of doubt because I loved their last model, as long as it lasted each time anyway. I had actually built into this purchase the possible expectation of it only a couple of years at the most, but between the inept redesign of this model on three counts and the infuriating customer service realities, there comes a limit. So my recommendation is "buy at your own risk" which appears to be quite high or that the particular machine I got was missing side brushes on the head and that there was something wrong with its motor's suction power. That would just leave its handle design and non-existent customer service to bet on.If you look at my other reviews, you will see that they are detailed as to features not obvious from the listing descriptions but meaningful to other prospective buyers and for the most part quite positive. I have no axe to grind against Hoover other than what they have earned from a long time customer who's given every benefit of the doubt only to become very disappointed in them.

This is an excellent vacuum with a slightly small battery
This is an awesome rechargeable vacuum. It's lightweight and it has three different modes, vacuum only ,slow beater bar and fast beater bar. You can vacuum for about 15 minutes on high with it before the battery gets soft on you. The first one I had lasted about a year before the bearing on the beater bar wore out, but I liked it so well that I bought another one. It's very easy to empty and it's easy to clean the small filters in it. If you vacuum it at night with a light shining near it it doesn't put out a lot of dust so you know that it's sealed very well. Overall an excellent vacuum for someone that doesn't want to drag a cord around their house and it is quiet. And excellent vacuum for a motorhome or travel trailer. It would be five stars if it had a 6 amp hour battery instead of a 4 amp hour battery
