VEVOR Trash Pump 2 Inch 7HP 142 GPM 4-Stroke Engine Gas Powered Water Pump

Arrived ahead of schedule, awesome pump! Easy to set up and use and cleared 8" of water from my basement with no problem... Highly recommend, but make sure to buy the optional hose set. Does not come with the suction hose.

Used for 1 HOUR and it quit; gas runs out behind carburetor!! Junk Bought in Feb. 2025 but never used until today Basement flooded due to it quitting JUNK!

It’s a trap. Item says 2 inch but mine is a 3 inch hole. I could only find one adapter for the cam lock intake hoses. Once I got the adapter, I found that it couldn’t seat all the way down and was blocked by the 3 bolts. I ended up using teflon tape on the threads which worked great. The pump that was shipped, the frame was very bent up. Thankfully the unit still works since I needed it for irrigation. At this rate, I’ve got about $70 in just adapters to get everything working correctly. That said, it did run good once I started it. It’s pretty quiet and gets a lot of water moving. The lowest speed will fill a 5 gallon bucket in 6 seconds.

Worked great at first when tested for ~5 minutes last year. I plan on mounting this pump on a small towable trailer along with a 375gal IBC tank full of water, and a firehose/nozzle -- for fighting wildfires on or near my property. This pump was able to output more than enough water for this, and was able to drain the entire 375 gallon ICB tank in about 5-10 minutes. Tried it once on a single tank, stored it for a year. Now a year later, I tried to use the pump to transfer water from one tank to another. As it was working, I saw what I thought was water leaking down the base/block of the pump. I hand-wavingly wrote it off as a leaky water fitting. After a couple minutes, it ran out of gas. I added maybe 1/4 to 1/2 gallon of fuel, and it still refused to start. I go to check the gas level. I couldn't tell what the level was because of the small mesh-like cup that is attached to the fuel tank filler inlet blocks view of the level -- unless you fill it enough for the gas level to rise above the bottom of the mesh cup. I add another 1/2 gallon or so. When I went to adjust the choke, I noticed water was still trickling down the base of the pump. However, I had closed the water valve earlier. Suspicious, I touched the leaking 'water' with a finger, lift it up to my nose and smell. That wasn't water... that was gas leaking profusely from the tank. I think that leaking might have been gas this whole time. All the gas I put in, had leaked out from behind the starter/motor housing. I must have leaked out an entire gallon or two onto the ground! So I plan to investigate and potentially fix today. Whatever the issue is -- it likely wasn't caused from user error as we did everything the manual instructs. Either the a fuel line popped off somehow (perhaps too large a diameter, or a fuel line clamp was forgotten in manufacturing, or perhaps worse: part of the fuel system interior assembly has cracked, broke, or popped a seal. Regardless, I doubt it was caused by anything other than a design error or manufacturing defect. After I investigate what the issue is. Depending on what seems to be the cause of the leak, what the solution is, and who is likely at fault -- I will change my rating. However as of now, the pump ceased functioning after a total of 15 minutes, due to a fuel leak. Ironically, this pump could have started a wildfire instead of putting one out. It looks like Vevor doesn't sell this particular model of pump anymore, which makes me wonder if this was a lemon model? Will update as I learn more. Edit: I found the issue. The finned flywheel was contacting the fuel line, grinding it down and finally severed it. This fuel line feeds gas from the tank to the carburetor, and routes through a rubber grommet that seats on the edge of the Red starter assembly enclosure. This grommet features an angled passage/feedthrough hole that directs the fuel line away from the finned flywheel. I think what happened was the assembly technician had installed this grommet in reverse, so the grommet's angled passageway would then direct the fuel line towards the flywheel instead of away from it. Either that, or the fuel line lengths were way too long and vibration caused the slack to bunch up inside the housing, causing the line to protrude into the flywheel. Or both. Either way, I'm convinced it was a manufacturing defect (a potentially dangerous one). I replaced the fuel line with my own, ensured correct routing and lengths. I haven't tested operation yet, but I'm confident the pump will operate well now. I wonder if this defect was unique to my pump, or if there should have been a recall. If the latter, I am glad it's no longer available. I hope no one had the same issue, and especially hope it didnt result in a fire. If it was unique to my pump, it was an easy fix and otherwise should be a solid pump. So I will bump this up to 2 stars I suppose.

The pump itself is doing its job perfectly, no complaints there at all. Unfortunately, the hose that came with it is a different story. It feels really flimsy and I'm not sure how long it's going to hold up. I'll probably have to buy a replacement one pretty soon. It's a shame because the main unit is solid.

You'll be up and running in no time!" The fact is that you will also need a suction hose that is reinforced to prevent hose collapse, which it says in the brochure. Why isn't that information highlighted in the brochure and why does the information provided on the Amazon website state "everything you need...Extemely frustrating in an emergency situation!

Good value ,runs well . Starts easy. Some minor shipping or factory damage. The mount plate for the engine was twisted which caused the air cleaner housing to hit the frame . Nuisance, but easy fix
