This set of three small combination locks is ideal for travelling with. The locks are compact and it is very easy to set new combination codes for them: you simply insert a sharp object into the button at the base of the lock (I used the end of a paper clip, but something like an iPhone metal pin would also work perfectly) and twizzle each dial to set your preferred code. To open the lock, you simply turn the dials until you have revealed your code, and then push the wire rope across to the right of the groove at the top of the lock.The wire ropes are not sufficiently strong to deter a determined thief. However, they do appear robust enough not to be easily opened with a knife or scissors. I would imagine that you could easily cut through the wire ropes with a bolt cutter, but this may be a good thing if you're anxious about forgetting the code or the locks seizing up.All in all, this is a good value set for giving you peace of mind whilst travelling with luggage.

These 3 padlocks from RESET are a great addition especially if one is looking for lightweight locks without the need for keys. The pack comes with easy instructions to reset combination and they are good to go. The wire rope looks and feels strong enough. My only reservation is, would this be strong enough to withstand wirecutters? Especially on travels.

I like these! Easy enough to use, and to set your desired number on them. What I like is that they have a cable instead of solid shackle, which I find is better for zips on bags and such.Quality is ok, not groundbreaking, but they work well and are easy to fit and use.Overall very happy, they'll prevent opportunists from having a poke about in your bag when you're not looking, which I guess is what they're for, and for about eight quid for three of them it's a bargain!

A pack of three combination padlocks ideal for securing a suitcase or luggage. These padlocks come preset to 0000 but you have to be careful to line the numbers up exactly. Which is a little fiddly as the lock wheels are quite small. Once lined up the top security wire can be removed from the top by pulling down and away into the groove.Changing the combination is very straight forward following the instructions provided. Simply insert a sharp object into the base ( I used a biro pen nib) alter the numbers according and release the lock base. Takes no more than a couple of minutes.For their small size these are quite strong locks. Seem very well made and at just £7.99 for three padlocks represent excellent value for money. Two smaller packs are also available at slightly lower cost. A single padlock or a pack of two. All three packs represent great value. Highly recommended and five stars*****

To undo the lock, make sure the code is correct/lined up and then you simply slide the wire rope into the larger section of the groove and the padlock will open. To lock you simply reverse the motion of putting the wire rope into the larger section of the top groove and move to the side. Make sure the combination is muddled up and the lock will not open.To change the combination code, on the bottom of the lock there is an indented button. Using a pointed object you simply press down and whilst keeping it pressed down you can set your own number combination. Once you stop pressing down on the indented button the new combination code is locked in.As to longevity, through use, I am unable to comment as I have only recently received the product. However, from first impressions appears well made, solid and with a good strong wire rope. For the price of three locks (at time of review £7.99) the product is good value for money.
