Good little meter and easy to use. I have a damp patch in the back bedroom and the builder whom I asked to come round to fix it, insisted that it was an old stain and that there was no damp there at all. This little meter proved him wrong and he had to come back to carry out remedial work on my chimney.

Instructions are pretty poor, so I kinda just figured it out for myself. I wasn't sure what settings I'm supposed to use for the materials, nor why it matters, but I could detect damp where there was damp, and no damp where there wasn't, so it seems to work!

Excellent first class product, highly recommended, seemingly works well, gives a good indication of moisture levels, easy to use & useful.

I bought after seeing a recommendation on Facebook, I wanted something to do regular damp checks I my camper. The readings don't really compare with others done previous years. I contacted customer service and to be fair replied both times but couldn't really help me. Perhaps I m doing something wrong. A bit disappointed 😞.

I have a log burning stove and cut up trees to store for the winter I use this handy meter to make sure the moisture level is low enough to burn it.

To be effective you need a good knowledge of the different types of wood to adjust the setting/reading…too complex for me.

The settings for the different types of wood are slightly confusing, I didn't recognise any of the wood types but, maybe that's me and my lacknif knowledge.The functions are great and easy to use

Now I do not need to put holes in my wood to check if it can be used. I have found the meter to be very reliable and repeatable in the same spot. Readings across a board will vary somewhat which actually makes sense due to the slightly different densities of the wood. I expect to get a lot of use from this meter.Highly recommended.

I mostly use this for my cordwood but have used it for a carpentry project, it’s easy to use , great price, and I have dropped it and has not broke or go dead on me, fits in my pocket and off I go

I found this meter to be very easy to use. I like that is shows the ambient temperature and humidity at the top (in either Celsius or Fahrenheit.) Along with a moisture percentage reading, the background color changes with the reading - green is low, yellow is medium and red is high moisture content.The manual is 25 pages of instruction, 4 of which are on English (the rest are other languages.) It includes a table of various species of wood with their material setting to use with the meter (eg. to measure cherry, set the meter to the "A" material.) As a wood worker, this is very helpful.The unit comes with a extra pair of electrode tips, a wrench for changing the tips, a carrying bag, 3 'AAA' batteries, and the manual. Now, as to how accurate the meter is, I can't say. I have nothing to compare it against. The wood I did test it with was known to be kiln dried or has been stacked to air dry for over a year. I did test a rotten chunk of wood and it reported a very high moisture content (as expected.)I'm happy with the quality and performance of this product.
