Better than expected
I bought this out of curiosity and because it wasn't too much more than other quality salsas I buy. I'm impressed! I thought it was going to taste just like the hot sauce--it doesn't, which is good, because then there wouldn't be much point to it. It has a nice roasted flavor that is prominent, but not domineering of the flavor. The salsa is thick and chunky, without being watery, and the chunks are small enough that it doesn't overload your chips. The spiciness is a true medium, where some other salsas seem weaker to me. It leaves a little spicy aftertaste, but it dissipates before long. I will be adding this to my tacos and other items, not just eating with chips. The only thing I would improve would be to offer it in a larger jar at a better price-per-ounce. It could be a mainstay if so.

Traditional taste
If you like the authentic restaurant style salsas you will enjoy this. It is very flavorful and has a small kick but nothing overpowering. Very good!!

Great flavor. We always keep a bottle of this on hand. I love spicy and this one has a bit of a kick but not overwhelming.

Good, but hard to scoop. Too runny.
Three stars for flavor and heat. However, it is way too loose and runny. Not thick like Mateo’s. I like a nice scoop of salsa when I dip. Not a wet chip. Still flavorful though, but I’ll stick to my Mateo’s!

I love this salsa and can’t find it at many grocery stores in my area. It’s a bit on the spicy side, but I love the flavor.

item not sealed
This salsa tastes fine, though a bit watery. But, that reason I gave it a one star review is that it had leaked all over the package when I received it. The bottle cover was not sealed. I guess I'm brave (or foolish) but I took a chance and ate it anyway. But, I can see no reason why the cover was not sealed. I'm reluctant to buy it again because of that issue.
