Sturdy, I love that I can hide the cord, and it moves smoothly. I have mine relatively tight, so it takes a bit of effort to move. The ball joint that you screw the microphone onto is sturdy (I just wish the support was a little more open to allow it to move around more for repositioning). It does move up and down on the arm closest to the microphone, but NOT the arm closest to the clamp. The only other complaint I have is that the bolt doesn't screw all the way, so if your desk is like mine and is 1/2" thick, it won't tighten fully (I was able to resolve the issue with a thick piece of cork I have).
