PentelP205-F - Sharp Mechanical Drawing Pencil 0.5 mm, Barrel Orange

Been using these (in black) in 0.5 and 0.7 for maybe 35 years, reliable, nice weight, nice in the hand, I tend to eventually lose them.Coloured option is useful to differentiate lead sizes, or for novelty, or maybe the brighter colours will be harder to lose, or just because whatever, but coloured is more expensive, not sure why.The bar code sticker and its adhesive gum on each pencil is somewhat frustrating to remove.

The pencil itself is great, the P205 is a classic mechanical pencil, but I have to agree with some of the other comments – the image does not represent how extremely bright orange this version is.

This is the best mechanical pencil for me. I write a lot and the pencil's advantages are:1) The pencil lead doesn't break2) Good hold that does not hurt fingers

I really like this pencil. I'm using it for my graphic novel and it is very reliable and I really enjoy using it.

A vibrant orange version of the superb P205 pencil. This one is for work, where I wear orange PPE, so it had to be the orange pencil.

Nice pencil (standard 205D) but the colour representation is totally wrong. It looks like a nice tangerine shade but is in fact luminous orange and looks more suitable amongst my 3 year old's pens rather than my work stuff which it was intended for.
