Easy Peasy
Installed a new NVMe on my laptop and it didn't come with a heatsink. The old NVMe had a thermal pad on it, but I ordered a 2230 drive and the one I was replacing was 2242 - I didn't want to peel and cut, plus I was planning on using the old NVMe as a backup once I recover my data from it, so it still needs that pad. This kit came with everything needed for my 2230 drive. The copper has blue film on both sides that you'll need to remove; no problem there. There were a few options for the thermal pad/tape, so I went with the one squarish piece that fit perfectly under the copper and on the NVMe. The tape peeled off easily and everything fit perfectly onto the 2230 NVMe. In all, the installation was super easy, barely an inconvenience. Everything seems to be working well, and it was at a decent price. The kit has more stuff in it than I needed, but that's not really a complaint.

Perfect to upgrade storage on Microsoft Surface Pro 11
I upgraded the SSD in my Surface Pro 11 from the original 512BG to 2TB, and used this heat sink on the new drive. I’ve had it installed for nearly a year and it’s working great. No thermal slow downs and I haven’t really noticed it being warm at all. Pretty simple install and they provide everything you need. The fit is perfect! Great value for a necessary product.

A tip for everyone out there!!
It is a night and day difference it 100% works with the steam deck OLED what I did was that I kept the aluminum shielding and put it over the top of the copper to give it extra protection, and so far I am having no issues at all. FPS is are running smooth, and the temperatures are definitely cooler. For the value of the money it is 100% worth it if you want to maintain your steam deck in the long run.

Would have been easier with things labeled and better instructions
I bought this to go with an upgraded SSD for my sons Steam Deck and I am glad I got it. the pry tool helped delicately open the deck without ruining any tabs. I recommend being gentle and taking your time this is not a time consuming job. The kits comes with several thermal pads that are different colors and sizes without labels and the instructions don't give you clear instructions for where to put them and I think there are more than you need. My SSD had a thicker and a thinner chip so I suspect the different pads are for SSDS with different thicknesses of chips. I topped the chips with different thickness of pads so the copper heatsink is even. If your SSD has a sticker over the ships leave it there it is part of the thermal solution. Pay attention where you took off screws. I made the mistake of thinking I saw spots where Valve left screws out. Think I knew better, I used the spare screws in this kit to fill the extra screw holes only to discover a couple of the holes were held by the screws from the outside of the case. I was a little worried the thicker heatsink would be a bulge against the case but everything fine together fine.

Great product
I bought this item along with a WD Black 2TB SSD for my new Steam Deck. This came very quickly and with nearly everything needed to install. I say nearly everything because mine did not come with instructions in the package. Not a major problem because I came back to the product page and looked at the photos, where the instructions and visuals are. Overall, my Steam Deck has been running perfectly and so far I haven't noticed any heat. I highly recommend this item!

One important piece of upgrading Surface Pro hard drive
The top-of-the-line Microsoft Surface Pro only offers a maximum of 1TB of storage. I followed some online instructions to: 1. Back up the Windows 11 operating system to a bootable 32GB USB thumb drive. 2. Open the back and pop out the old 1TB SSD. 3. Insert a new 2TB 2230 NVME SSD that I bought online. 4. Carefully attach this heat sink. 5. Boot up and "restore" Windows 11 from the 32GB USB thumb drive. (Note that any personal files on the drive had to be saved and restored separately.) It worked great - I ran benchmarks and not only did it increase my disk capacity, but the disk performance was faster. Even under heavy gaming use, this heat sink seems to nicely protect the tiny SSD from overheating.

Does not fit in Steam Deck
First of all here are the things I did in order to get this to "fit" 1. Removed SSD from slot. 2. Removed SSD sleeve that came with the stock unit. to get more space. 3. Reinstalled SSD into slot with heatsync. 4. Closed the unit as best as I could, was buldging. 5. Took the SSD out again and noticied the headsync was slightly slotted to slide onto an SSD, just not the steam decks. 6. As a last resort I bend the heatsync so it was slightly wider and it was flush with the top of the SSD 7. Still bulging and then a major issue occured during testing. The major problem with this heatsync is it makes the unit buldge. Since the unit is bulging that means the flexible metal cover that protects a good chunk of the board, including where the SSD is, gets bent out of shape. This piece of flexible metal is conductive. It is suppose to be in contact with various metal zig-zag springs around the board to act as a ground. The area where the SSD resides has one of those springs. That spring does not touch the flexible metal cover any longer and was causing various issues with the deck. If I slightly twisted the device, it crashed. If I set the device down to hard, it crashed. If I gripped the device slightly too hard it would crash. If one of the ground springs flips states (touching to not touching and vice-versa) on the flexable metal cover, it causes a system crash and can break it. DO NOT USE THIS ON A STEAM DECK!!!

Not for Steam Deck OLED
I can't comment on the experience of others, but this pack was really not useful when I tried to replace the SSD on my SD OLED, for the following reasons: 1. Wrong screwdriver provided - needed a torx, but given a Philips 2. The heatsink is too tight - couldn't slide the SSD into it without fear of breakage 3. The plastic accessories provided to open up the shell cracked on use Managed to get through the process using other tools I had, which was fortunate..

Muy bueno
Me gustó porque traía todo lo anunciado. Me sirvió ya que la cobertura del SDD de mi steam deck se perdió y está, aunque quedó algo apretada, cumplió su función.

Not worth it. Very poor workmanship.
It is of very poor quality and not worth the price. It claims to be compatible with surface devices but would not fit my surface 9 pro which is the primariy reason for purchasing it. Same goes for my oled Steamdeck. I had to do some modifications with a dremel for it to fit and even then it had about 3 degrees of difference according to my thermal imaging camera. It wasn’t easy to install and with the poor performance I’d rather not keep it since it’s conducive. I’d look elsewhere for a proper heatsink for 2230 SSDs.

Best suited for ROG ally
Bought it for the ROG Ally. Has improved the efficiency of my 2tb ssd. It’s pretty straightforward upgrade and reduced thermals by 10 degrees when running an intensive game and with just normal browsing and stuff the temps never cross 40degrees.
