I had carpal tunnel and thumb surgery to shave bone spurs, remove nerves and arthritis. After having the splints off, I needed some compression on the thumbs but didn't need the entire palm of my hand wrapped. I read the reviews on this and decided to give them a shot. When I got them, I thought, "these are too thin to do any good." I was wrong!! They are lightweight, yes. But that's also a good thing to not make my hand sweat! They apply just enough pressure to not be restrictive and also not too tight. I absolutely love these!

This was just what I wanted. It is not a heavy compression sleeve. It just served as a visual reminder to me that my thumb was injured and that I should pay attention to not hitting it. It also warned people from shaking my hand or touching me there.

If I could post lower I would. This was a waste of money. So thin and no support. Just cheap think piece of fabric. So disappointed and feel ripped off.

Have several different styles from other medical supply places. This brand gives a little firmer support and warmth. Thumb injuries and surgeries have made the thumb-to-wrist joint susceptible to being "cold" and achy. Wear a size 9 glove (would call the 1xLarge Womens.) And have no binding discomforts or irritations. Hand washes and dries quickly retaining its shape. Good value.

Sizing image provided on image will result in a support that is too large. Instructions inside package show large is for wrists greater than 8.5 inches circumference. Product page shows large as greater than 7 inches (which is incorrect). My wrist is 7 3/4 inches circumference and should use a medium. Do note that these are thin and only provide a small amount of support. That is fine for me, as I'm using this in lieu of KT tape. If you need a lot of support, get something heavier.

I recently had surgery on my thumb for arthritis. I am fully recovered. A peripheral nerve was tweaked a little bit during the procedure causing numbness. My surgeon told me numbness will go away in time. It’s now 5 months and the numbness has turned into over sensitivity because the sensation is coming back. Feels like pins and needles. By wearing this sleeve it provides nice compression and it reduces the pins and needles sensation. I love it. I purchased 5 of them. When dirty I throw them in the wash and always have a clean sleeve. Highly recommended. Thanx.

I’m sure it may be good for some. I bought this before I was diagnosed with RA, and it didn’t help.

It is comfortable to wear.
