The price is a bit steep, but it’s definitely worth it. The quality is top-notch, and the fast charging feature for my iPhone 16 Pro is a game-changer. The magnetic hold keeps my phone securely in place while I’m driving, even on bumpy roads. However, there’s one downside: there’s no way to adjust the phone mount with the magnetic. The phone will gradually shift from its position while driving, and you’ll have to readjust it again.

Worked great at first but then the fan stopped working after about 7 months of use. Now my phone stops charging after it quickly overheats. I also have an iphone 17 pro which is supposed to be the coolest phone so considering that this charger sucks even more. I assumed paying a premium price for this meant reliability but turns out it’s no match for an average of 70 degree weather.

I like it for the ease of mounting the phone and how it keeps the phone cool. When I plug the cord directly into the provided USB for power/data, the charger does not stay charging. It flips off and on. There must be a certain amount of data it’s trying to send. I have it powered by the cigarette charger but this forfeits the Apple sync. To interface with the car’s touch screen and Apple, we unplug the power to this unit and plug the phone directly into the car. This turns off the cooling/charging function but still get the MagSafe strong magnet. 2017 Ford Edge

I just received a replacement unit, 11 months after my initial order, at no charge. I thought it was a 30-day warranty but when I emailed iOttie, they told me it was two years. Whew! I had noticed the problems from the start and told them that, but they replaced it anyway. I did have to send a photo showing my iPhone giving an overheat message.I bought this partly because of other positive reviews for iOttie customer service. Well, I'm another vote. They will make sure you're satisfied with your puchase.INITIAL REVIEW: Make sure you check this mount for the fan working. Mine didn't. And iOttie doesn't say how to verify that it is working—it's supposed to be quiet, after all. Also, this mount seems not to accept any USBC cable or USBC charger other than the one it ships with.Three main functions it does perfectly well: the suction mount holds on a window flawlessly, the MagSafe holds an iPhone securely, and it certainly charges the phone.But when the "CryoFlow" fan doesn't work, the phone consistently overheats and can even shut down. That part is very frustrating.

The ball joint behind the MagSafe charging assembly is not stiff enough to keep the orientation of the phone as originally sent. It nods forward very readily. I am not sure that the cooling feature is efficacious at all. My iPhone is in a case, and there are a layer of glass, a layer of polycarbonate and another layer of glass between the innards of the phone and the chilling mechanism of this mount. Those are not going to effectively sink heat from the phone. On several occasions I have therefore had my phone stop charging because it would otherwise have overheated.

I bought this as a way to cool my phone during the heatdeath summers in the US with rising temperatures. I have bought probably 4-5 iOtties before and knew they build well. To get access to the wireless charging of magsafe devices which are much more robust than standard Qi devices I bought a magsafe stickers for my case to make it magsafe compatible. First time locked it in and it stayed there no problems and kept the phone cool which was great. Took some user error to figure out why charging was terrible, still not fantastic at 7.5w instead of 10-20w I am used to but it does the job.
