Sensible shape and toeless! Best features
So far, so good!!! My favorite compression devices of the lot. I have a love/hate relationship with compression socks and have tried a million different pairs that pretty much all seemed like the same product. I much prefer sleeves, but pairs I’ve tried often lack the same amount of compression that a regular compression sock can provide. This time I really wanted to find a set that had decent compression with a good amount of spandex so that they would not be so rough/drying/irritating and difficult to put on. These Doc Miller sleeves aren’t made of the very soothing silky underarmor/spandex material I was hoping for but are still a lot better than my other socks that have very little stretch to them. I put them on like regular compression socks by turning them inside-out to the heel cup, slipping my foot in, then pulling the long part of the sock up over my leg. Excellent fit! But it’s the design that I’m really pleased with. First I’ll start by telling you what I hate about regular compression socks. I have very sensitive feet and legs, so a fresh pair of typical compression socks on Amazon causes me all kinds of discomfort from the sock being too tight or causing soreness and circulation issues around the toes and under the knees, even when fitted correctly. The fabric is often too rough and drying, not only to my legs but to my hands when putting the socks on. This process is usually a real struggle!!! They also seem to get tighter and tighter after each wash, even if hang-drying, to the point that you can’t even turn them right side out anymore because you can’t even fit them over your arm! Now I’ll tell you how Doc Miller sleeves are better than those other socks. They have a unique shape/fit unlike other single-thickness compression socks (the ones that are basically shaped like tube socks). When I took them out of the packaging, I instantly knew I would feel a difference. You can tell just by looking at the shape of them. They have a nice, sensible calf-shaped curve to them, which you know just by looking is going to accommodate and be a good fit for someone with a thicker calf like me. The fact that they are toeless but still cover the ankle so your foot is still going to get some compression, but your toes aren’t going to get pressure sores, is the most valuable game-changer, to me. Again, did I mention that the Doc Miller sleeves allow my toes to be free and comfortable? I just wear a regular cotton sock over these and put on my shoes and heel inserts. I have felt such a big difference when taking these off after standing and walking for 12 hrs straight. I’ve only worn them once but expect that they will hold up much better than my other socks after the wash and dry cycle. Either way, after one wear, I’ve had notably better results and felt the desire to share my positive experience.

perfect for wide calves
These are some of my favorite compression socks I own. The material is thick, in a lush way, they are very easy to get on compared to most others, and of course they're cute! I love the color options and am super thankful for the inclusive sizing. My only complaint is that they have no toes! lol. I want more of these, but I'd like to buy some with toes, and there are No Doc Miller closed toe socks offered here in the same sizing options as This item! It's absurd. I can understand the niche need for these in the summer with thong sandals or something... but most of the time, I want a closed toe sock inside my shoes. So please- Doc Miller- expand your sizing across the Whole of your line of compression please. Your styles are adorable, & my experience with your quality and comfort is great. As someone who needs to wear compression literally Every Single Day... I would Love to be able to buy more than this 1 single item from you. :/

Not your grandma’s compression socks!
These are therapeutic without looking like a the ones my grandmother used to wear! I am a tall (5’11”) woman, and my height is mostly legs. I was injured by a poisonous tree that ushered me into a wound care doctor’s office. The nurse helped me choose these, because I needed to wear supportive (20-30) compression for the wound to heal. Both my ankles have varicose veins from the amount of time I spend on my feet and my height. So I wear both socks daily (in rotation with other pairs). I also have other colors. These have sped up my wound care and have begun to make my purple ankles (from the visible veins) start to be less unsightly. When the quarantine lifts, I will continue to wear some type of compression, depending on what I am wearing to work. I’m happy with these, more than other options I tried because they hold their shape, reach my knee, stay put & dry quickly following my hand washing them in the sink. I have the large size. The measurement from my heel to knee is nearly 20”. The open toe keeps my toes from being crushed, from reaching over my calfs. I think they look sporty too. They also help my bunions a bit. So my foot swelling is lots less frequent. Bonus! Getting older ( I’m 45) is not for the faint of heart, but these guys help!

Good compression but....
These open toed compression socks are cute and have great compression, but the end that is closet to your toes is not snug enough to stay in place. When you first put them on, they are at the base of your toes, but quickly start to move back on your foot. I had these on for about 20 min., as you can see from my picture, they are no longer were they started. The more you walk around, the farther back they move on your feet. This then becomes uncomfortable because of the bunched material under your foot when you walk. I wear a shoe size 8 wide and ordered the correct size, I don't have small feet so this should not be happening.

I bought these to help with my restless leg, and they are incredible at doing so. They can be a bit cumbersome to put on, as they've very tight, but I find rolling them up first, and wiggling them on does the trick. I've had my pair for several months now, and they've survived this entire time, including several wash cycles. Very durable, and very comfortable!
