Amazing quality for the price
This thing is spectacular. The lens on front is a really cool addition that is fun to play with, just remember this isnt a toy! Be responsible! Don't EVER point it near anyone's face!I'm not sure if it really reaches 5000ft, but it goes very far and the beam is very high quality. The safety clip that goes over the button is a very nice addition. I saw a reviewer mention this isn't meant to be a permanent safety, but it really works well as one.Super satisfied with the purchase, let's see how it holds up with lots of use.

Powerful little laser
This is a great little laser that is super bright and significant distance ability.Side note is that it’s a great dog toy, my dog will chase it over and over, great way to exercise her for sure.Charger is a bit awkward but hey it was $10.00Definitely worth the price

Geese deterrent off dock
Worked great to deter geese from coming up on grass in yard and on dock Live on a lake and the geese are out of control It recharges easily and has a safety clip to prevent accidental aiming at people

A Typical 532nm Green Laser with a USB-A Connector for Charging
The media could not be loaded. This Green Laser Pointer arrived in a plain white box with a single sheet of instructions. A simple plastic clip was placed over the power button to prevent it from switching on during shipping; the minimal design of this clip is typical for this type of device and is not intended as a long term safety-lock feature. The unit comes with a silver “Star Cap” which can be rotated to create moving patterns on the wall / ceiling if desired. Removing the Star Cap allows the single green beam to be projected. A screw-on metal cap protects the USB-A charging connector in the end of the unit. While the USB-A connector works for charging the device, I personally prefer pointers that use a USB-C connector + charging cable, as they are a little easier to work with.SAFETYThe print on the warning label is ridiculously small (see close-up photo). Nonetheless, the label on this device indicates it has a maximum energy output of <5mW, making it a Class 3R laser product. A class 3R laser is not a skin or materials burn hazard, but direct contact with your eyes has the potential to damage your retina. This hazard applies equally to the user as well as other nearby people and animals. This is not something to be used by unsupervised children. In theory, when a laser beam light shines into your eyes, you will reflexively blink within 0.25 seconds (the typical “aversion response”) and that reflex-action should limit the amount of laser light energy that can enter your eye, thereby protecting your eyes from damage. Additionally, the Nominal Ocular Hazard Distance (NOHD) for Class 3R lasers is between 16 and 32 meters (roughly 50 to 100 feet), meaning that if you are at least this far away from the class 3R laser, the chance of eye injury is “vanishingly small”. That said, intentionally staring into the beam or intentionally shining it into someone else’s eyes at close range could have serious consequences.Despite the images in the Amazon listing, this device is NOT a common laser pointer for office / school use and it is also not a cat toy. It is designed with a higher power level so that it can be used outdoors, to point out distant objects, such as astronomical features or overhead items on a construction site. Because this is intended for outdoor use, one should always keep in mind that it is a Federal crime to shine any laser at aircraft; even if done accidentally while star-gazing, you could still face serious consequences. Many states have also made it illegal to shine lasers at automobiles.PERFORMANCEThe Human eye is particularly sensitive to green light, which makes green lasers appear much brighter than equal-power red or blue lasers. However, common 532nm Diode Pumped Solid State (DPSS) lasers like this one produce both a visible green beam and also “by-product” Infrared emissions at 1064nm. The consequence of this is that at least some of the nominal power output is being “wasted” generating invisible Infrared light. Although these losses are typical of all DPSS laser pointers sold at this price point, they do limit the ultimate range and brightness of the green beam. That said, in outdoor operation, the brightness of this specific laser was typical of <5mW DPSS devices. The green spot is bright and easy to see; night time horizontal testing showed that the green spot was clearly visible at several hundred yards, and the path of the beam itself was partially visible passing through the air (see photo). Overall, this pointer should meet most user’s needs.

Nice laser
Works very good

Small size, very bright.
Wanted laser to use at night to point out stars. Didn’t expect much for price, better than expected! Not only has straight beam but also has top that projects patterns.

Bright but design flaws
So it’s great that it’s rechargeable and has no cable since the usb plug is built in. And it’s great that it’s extremely bright and you can actually see the laser beam. I always wanted a green one just cause they can apparently light a match. I didn’t have a match to try but I’ll get to it. Reason for 3 stars is that the design of the top of the laser is horrible. It has a removable top that changes the single beam into a myriad of shapes by twisting it. The issue is that it was so difficult to remove so that I could have a single beam which I prefer. You have to press so hard to remove the cap which is just ridiculous. it should just click on. Or give more grip to actually be able to turn the part that’s threaded.

Extremely bright green laser
I've never seen a laser that the average person could buy that was this bright and visible at the distance that this one is. Even at noon on a bright day, I can see the green dot on a fence over half a block away. At night, I can see the dot several blocks away. I know it can go a lot farther, but you'd probably need binoculars to find the dot much farther. On a clear night, you can see the beam in the air reflecting off dust and/or moisture particles. So, I can see how you might use it to point at stars. It's not going to light up the star of course, but someone standing next to you could tell what you were pointing at.It recharges, so there's no battery to change. The end cap covers a USB A plug, so you just plug it into a cell phone-type charger with a USB A socket. It has a little weight to it, so it probably needs to be plugged in vertically. There's a plastic guard clipped around the barrel to keep the button from being pushed while in your pocket or when packed away with something else. There's a slit on the guard and the easiest way to turn it on is to poke your fingernail in that slit. It's just a plastic clip, so if it annoys you, you could easily remove it.It also comes with a screw-on attachment that splits the beam into hundreds of dots instead of one focused point.I wouldn't use this one to play with pets. It's just too powerful. And, whatever you do, don't point it at anyone's face. That light is very bright.
