I got this to replace my garage door push button. It is small profile and not overly substantial feeling, but it does the trick. I'm a very novice handywoman and was able to install this no problem in about five minutes -- just make sure to switch off the power first. I note, as did another reviewer, that there is no hole in the top for the wires to run thru, so you will have to accomplish that on your own and I took off one star for that as it does show up on the Amazon search when looking for garage door push button replacements. Without the hole for wires, it really doesn't work as a plug-and-play replacement for such purpose. (I'm sure it's fine for a doorbell which would only be wired from the back, but I didn't use it for that.) I "drilled" a small hole with some needle files which I just happened to have and it was quick and easy. I got the white with white light and I like that it is not overly bright, i.e., it won't shine into the house thru the crack in the door, but is easily seen coming into the dark garage. A good solution at a decent price.

We have 3 poodles so we had a sign. Please don't ring the bell. Bell didn't work. This is a nice doorbell and was wasy to install.

Plug and play! Unscrewed the old, screwed in the new. I did have to find difference screws because the previous owner put wider ones in before, so screw that came with it were too small.

Easy to install works perfectly

Over the last decade people have complained that nothing happens when they push my doorbell button. They just do not push the button hard enough. So, I finally bought this new doorbell button assuming that it would be better than the old one. Not so. Other than an LED light in this new button (rather than a small bulb), you still have to push the new button very hard to make the bell ring. Why? Both the old and new buttons have two copper "arms" inside the plastic case that move when you push the button; that sends the low voltage current to the bell in your house. The arms in both buttons look like the arm at the top of the attached picture. If you file the two arms so that they look like the arm at the bottom of the picture, the bell then rings whenever you give the button a slight push. The button would work with even less effort if thichness of the metal in the copper arm was reduced. Maybe the Chinese will eventually adopt these design changes.

Really well made and super easy to install. It was equally as well made as the old door bell button that was decades old. Love the brighter light of the LED. Works very well. Very happy with it.
