Normcore 51mm Magnetic Dosing Funnel, Espresso Dosing Ring, 18mm Anodized Aluminum with 8 Neodymium Magnets Compatible with 51mm Delonghi Decica Portafilter, Black

We recently added the Normcore 51mm Magnetic Dosing Funnel to our espresso setup, and it’s been a game-changer for improving workflow and reducing mess during dosing and distribution. The build quality is excellent, solid, well-machined, and feels premium in hand. The magnetic attachment is strong and secure, snapping onto the portafilter with satisfying precision. However, unfortunately, the funnel did not perfectly fit our portafilter, leaving some gaps in-between, so few coffee grinds slips through. We use the funnel in combination with our WDT tool and tamper, it makes my routine more engaging and fun. One of the standout features is how much cleaner and more consistent our dosing process has become. The sleek, matte finish also complements the rest of our espresso gear nicely. Cleaning is effortless—just a quick rinse or wipe, and it’s good to go. The compact design makes it easy to store, and it doesn’t take up unnecessary space on the counter. For its quality, no doubt it's a good value for money, but not cheap at all.

My dosing cup is a lot smaller than my Gaggio Classic Pro (58mm box standard, with original basket) portafilter, this is a great tool to disperse freshly ground coffee from my Normcore V2 hand grinder to the portafilter without a mess, especially if you fluff/WDT as part of your process. This is a bit on the expensive side but Normcore is a brand I trust and contrary to some of the reviews here, I can confirm the magnet is strong and doesn't move around (at least for me). I can manage to WDT and tamp with this funnel ring on.

Good build quality, attaches easily and helps prevent coffee spillage when using a WDT tool. Would recommend.

Great quality, fits perfectly on the outside my Fracino Piccino 58mm basket, leaving no impact in the coffee inside. Only issue I have is the basket I use isn’t very magnetic. Others I have are, but don’t fit my machine, so once I upgrade, it will be perfect.

Arrived yesterday and made my first two mess free espressos today. Have a Gaggia Classic Pro with the 58mm portafilter that comes with it and this fits really well on the outside of the 'cup' so no intrusion into the coffee. Magnets easily clamp it into place and strong enough to hold it firmly in place but not so firmly you can not get them apart. If the magnets were any stronger then that may be an issue. It's black, looks smart with my set up. Good value for money and does the job perfectly.

Older reviews make it clear that previous versions of this item had trouble with the magnets being too weak. I can confirm the version I received had magnets strong enough to secure the funnel to the portafilter while being weak enough that I didn't accidentally lift my ridgeless basket. Aside from this, the tolerances mean that it wiggles around a bit on the portafilter but I haven't found any way in which this impacts its utility. I specifically bought this so I could use a WDT tool without spilling coffee outside the basket and it performs this task very well.

Strong enough magnets to lift the portafiler but easy to remove, fits the gaggia classic evo pro 2023 standard portafiler perfectly and also fits under my Eureka Mignon Specialita Coffee Grinder, I've got the Normcore range, tamper etc, and they're all exceptional quality.

This works like it should. Some reviews say the magnet is weak. I disagree as the magnets hold everything in place. This maybe because my handle and filter are all the same brand. Great product can't fault it

I wasn't sure about this dosing funnel since I'd seen several reviews saying the magnets weren't strong enough or that it wore out. I've been using it for a couple of months now without one single issue. The magnets snap on pretty easily and are strong enough to keep the funnel secured to the portafilter upside down (not that you'd need to hold to PF upside down). That being said, it can easily be removed if needed. I've tried weighted dosing funnels before and those were a bit finicky--they were heavy but somehow still easy to knock off accidentally and ruin a good puck. I recommend this one over the other style. Normcore has yet to disappoint: I've been using their portafilter, basket (I think?), puck screen and this funnel for months with not one single issue. I highly recommend this dosing funnel and their other products as well.

Facilito mucho mi proceso para crear espresso, ya que antes batallaba mucho para poner todo el cafe que necesitaba en la canasta del portafiltro, y por mas que tratada de tener mucho cuidado, solia perder un poco de cafe en este proceso pero con este dosificador eso ya es historia. Lo estuve utilizando tanto con el portafiltro que viene en la Delonghi Stilosa como con el Normcore y lo que les puedo decir es que en ambos lo hace bien, sin embargo, noto que es ligeramente mejor con el portafiltro Normcore.

High quality 54mm funnel compatible with the portafilters of the Sage Bambino plus. It allows you to not to spill the grinded coffee when you are filling the basket and prepping your puck. It has magnets on the bottom so it sticks to the basket. The magnets are strong but they depend on the material of your basket. The originals baskets that came with the Bambino stick very well, while the more precise ones from IMS that I have, the big bang for example, stick very weakly, so take that into account. All in all an essential tool to keep your counter clean and not waste coffee.

This ring works great. At least as good if not better than more expensive ones. I use it to contain grinds coming out of my grinder and then to keep them contained when using a wdt distribution tool.
