Pettex Silica Cat Litter Granules, 7.6L, clear

I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 cats low ventilation and I've used alot of litter types and they've started to smell after a day of use.I bought this litter and I thought before I buy more ill test out the limits. I haven't changed the litter for just over a week and a half just to test it. Cats were still happy to use it and still no smell.Today one of the cats have decided no more and tbh when I went to the litter it started to smell but my apartment still smells fine so if your looking for a litter to help with smell I can suggest this.I have noticed that the litter has started to pool at the bottom also which I read other reviews had stated but it has took a week and a half to get to that point. You can also swirl the litter around and keep it fresh to get maximum usage. I was looking for an alternative to fit litter as that litter is out of my budget but sounded really good and this is it. I am really happy with this product. This product will do around 2 litter changes depending on litter box size.Highly recommend

I have been using this litter for nearly a year now and can 100% say i’ll never use another type again.I’ve got two cats and for 2+ years and we’ve tried clumping, non clumping, wood pellets, litter freshener, you name it and always had a number of issues. I have one extremely picky and clean cat who refuses to use the litter box if there’s even a hint of it being smelly or unclean and no amount of scooping fixed the smell. I used to spend £40+ each month on litter and have to do complete litter changes every second day, and if you didn’t scoop it in time he’d leave little presents all over the house.With this litter there isn’t a single hint of a bad smell or a rogue ‘gift’ on the carpet and even with two cats who constantly use it. You could sit right next to the thing and you’d never notice it was there. I don’t have to do a litter change for 2, 3, even 4 weeks, so a single bag lasts us well over a month! Poo is poo so if it’s left in there for too long of course it will smell a little, but as long as you scoop the box at least one or two times a day you’ll be all set. I genuinely cannot recommend this litter enough, it may not work for everyone but it’s been a total lifesaver for me and my two, they’re happier, cleaner and a lot less smelly! Only issue is it does track a little, but no more than any other litter i’ve tried, so it can’t be faulted for that.But if you have issues with a smelly litter box or a hyper-picky cat, I 100% recommend giving this a try.

It’s great, it works, lasts for around 2-3 weeks per litter tray, but it definitely is not the cheapest stuff! It depends on how much you pour into the tray and how big your tray is. It still tracks albeit much less than clumping litter and perhaps non-clumping catsan too. A litter mat might help with this. It’s still a bit dusty but is low dust compared to others. The crystal is good with absorbing the pee. But odour control isn’t the best - maybe use a litter freshener. I heard that this isn’t great for cats to breath in, so perhaps it is something to keep in mind. Overall, I’m satisfied with the quality of this litter.

Great product, I use silicone litter as a first port of call, it might not be the cheapest when looking at price only, but it lasts longer that most other litters as its much easier to clear the waste, it absorbs smells almost instantly, easy to clean the litter tray so overall its great value.

I’m not a cat person but my son emigrated to Australia and left me two then a neighbour died so that was another one (all house cats) After 3 years of cat pi** hell I have found this product. It’s actually amazing and totally does what is says it will! Can’t believe I spent so much trying tofu, paper, corn based products. My house is back to being a lovely scented place to be. I might even develop a fondness for felines. Just kidding-they are well loved.

Been using these for a good while and honestly they have been the best I've tried.Edit - While the end user experience (and by that I mean me cleaning out litter boxes etc) is still much much much better than with normal cat litter (I don't feel like I might whinge myself into an early grave while cleaning this stuff out), these have gone down hill in a couple of ways recently...1) Struggling to get 7-10 days use with 2 cats, that's per bag. After around 7-10 days they smell just as bad as regular cat litter does after about half that. Considering the price (and it's worth noting point 2 here), these are not as good value as they used to be. I'm not sure if something has changed with them, or if our bigger cat's industrial strength toilet habits are just too much for this stuff, but certainly 1 bag doesn't last anywhere near a month now. Considering 1 cat + 1 bag = 1 month (used to), I'd have assumed with 2 cats we'd easily get 14+ days use out of these, but alas no.2) Price/ availability. I subscribe and save for these and often the price is blank and I'm not sure if the product is coming, or if it's going to be twice as expensive. On a few occasions I've written it off as 'not coming' and a week or so after the rest of my sub/save order comes, these are suddenly on their way too. While some of that is on Amazon and their frankly poor communication regarding sub/save, it does seem that this stuff has major stock issues regularly and that is NOT good for customer confidence.Overall I'm going to mark down from a 4 star to a 3 star. Not as good as it once seemed/was, but still a lot better than any regular litter.

No urine smell! One bag lasted two cats two weeks. Zero smell, no dust, very little transfer to the floor. I have two very old cats and they didn’t have any issues with the switch

Great stuff, it locks odour away well. Just wish you could buy it in bigger bags.
