Hal Leonard Ocarina Method. Includes Media Online: For Ocarina

Worth doing the research to discover this gem. Words cannot describe it. Written by an expert who perfectly understands the needs of the absolute beginner and you get history and music lessons into the bargain. I play the trumpet and only wish I had a tutor similar to this one when I was learning my trade. All the guides I have purchased so far had diagrams too small for me to read. No problem here as I can follow everything from the stand And there are enough tunes for you to enjoy for a long time. The whole guide is a joy and makes practising unmissable. If you are an anxious parentent look no further than this little masterpiece. Hal Leonard is a genius. She deserves more than 5 stars.

When I bought my ocarina, a reviewer mentioned this book and I’m so grateful to her, as it is excellent. The very basic guide that came with the instrument is not at all helpful and many of the tutors available are aimed at children. This really does tell you all you will ever need to know in a highly accessible and user-friendly format. I’m really pleased with it - all I need to do now, is practise!

Excellent book. Had me reading music and playing simple tunes in no time. Well written and easy to follow and with access to some very helpful online videos.

A great intro to the ocarina and Chris has instrument recommendations on her site which makes getting started even easier. The downloadable video files are excellent. There don't seem to be many ocarina tutor books out there but that doesn't matter as I am sure this is going to be number one for a long time to come.

This is a great book..you will learn from it if you are prepared to put the time in and reading music is well worth the efort

I bought this book after I purchased my very first Ocarina here in Amazon. This book is great for absolute beginner like myself, this was highly recommended on any Ocarina reviewer. The downloadable tutorial videos are excellent too!

Sinceramente esperaba algo más, básicamente en un libro con tabs(si viene una introducción y una que otra cosa),pero para el precio siento que no lo vale,ya que son cosas que puedes encontrar fácilmente en internet:( o

I have been trying to learn Ocarina with help of YouTube videos. The info was scattered all over in bits and pieces. This musical instrument is unheard of in India. I searched the internet for a teacher here and found none. This guide integrates everything into a simple learning method. Cris is a wonderful teacher and online access to her video lessons comes free with the book. Ocarina Method is a wonderful guide for those who wanted to learn to play this magical ancient instrument.

Good instruction book

The instructions are extremely easy to follow and will have you playing basic songs like "Hot Cross Buns" within 10-15 minutes.

It's good but i think is destinated to children or people so noob, although the book and the medias, are very good explained, but I though there are more information and another type of sheet music.
