Harney & Sons is not the same company as my first experience, but they do produce and nice deep flavored tea with a delicious smoke that was comparable to the Oliver & Pluff brand from Boston. The leaves were extremely fresh with a deep aroma. For those that are unfamiliar, the production of lapsang souchong includes drying by pinewood smoke, thus giving it a very, very smoky aroma and taste. This may turn a lot of people off. I feel it enriches the tea for a deeper flavor and stronger profile as far as black teas go. I am not a fan of cigarettes at all, to me this is more like a campfire smell and might be better appreciated during the winter months. I really like the flavor and feel it provides a hearty cup of tea.

**Q: Does it taste really "tea-ey"...like plants? Or like chocolate and mint?**
A: Chocolate and mint.  Add cream to make it more chocolate and minty.  add honey to make it taste like hot sweet chocolate mint heaven.  It does not taste - at all - like a Lipton tea.

**Q: What are the dimensions of the tin itself (not ounces of tea)?**
A: It is a very nice size, rounding up a little to approximately 3" x 3" x 4" high.  2 & 15/16" x 2 & 15/16"  by 3 & 13/16" high to be exact.

**Q: Please could you tell me how much loose tea do you need to make a mug of tea? or how many mugs does 4 oz of tea make. thanks**
A: If you are referring to this particular tea, PARIS, a 4 oz tin makes 30-40 cups. Mugs are different sizes as well so I would say 30. By the cup, you would use a teaspoon. When made by the “pot” the saying is an extra teaspoon for the pot. Different teas yield different cup amounts too as well as personal preference to weak or stronger flavor of their tea.

This is not for everyone. I like it. It's a very unique and very pronounced flavor. It is fresh, strong and bold. This mixes well with Black Currant Tea, with 80/20 ration. Smoke is heavy, so in pure form you need to be careful, you might hate it. I believe mixing with other flavored black teas is the idea, and it does well just that. Must try, for me it is an interesting tea with lots of ambition.
