My hygienist recommended these to me to address problems with my gums. They are significantly better than the rubber-ended flossers and 'thread'-floss I used before, and have gone much further to help my gums stay healthy. Fitting snugly between my teeth, they do push out any trapped food particles, and my gums no longer bleed. I wish these flossers would not bend so quickly: I continually have to straighten the wire, which is a bit annoying, but it does help the durability. I'd say each flosser lasts about 5-6 days. Quite expensive for such a basic design, but worth it for healthy gums.
