Need a pitch counter for home and away teams?
The Good: -Easy to use -Home and away counter -Durable The Bad: -None The Bottom Line: I used this all season in little league and it’s great. I was able to keep track of my teams pitch count and the opponents pitch count. It is also quite durable as I dropped it a few times and no issues.

Fell Apart Straight Out of the Package
Much like others who have already reviewed (shame on me for not reading them), as soon as I took it out to try to test it, it fell apart in my hand. It came apart at the seam that runs down the middle, and I was picking up parts from the floor. I bagged it up in a sandwich baggie and shipped it back (in the 15-20 pieces in separated into) for a replacement. I also noticed on both packages, their p r I c e is higher than the recommended sticker in the back of the package..by about four d o l l a r s. Anyway, I noticed my replacement was also not going to hold together well, so I put a cable tie around it straight out of the package to at least keep it in one piece until I can find a better quality product to purchase and use, instead. I keep the book and pitch counts for a school baseball team, and we have to be accurate in our numbers since the number of pitches determines the days of rest the pitcher must take between games. Given the shadiness of the original falling apart in my hand, and me being ginger with the replacement, but discovering it might pop apart if you look at it cross-eyed, I don’t trust the accuracy of this unit, and I will be searching for an adequate alternative.

Impressive Build Quality, Bargain Price!
My son is a pitcher and I bought a tracker to keep track of his workload on the mound. First and foremost, I was impressed by the build quality. The counter is constructed in a durable aluminum body and has thick plastic knobs that are fairly resistant to anything but an intentional twist. It also has a finger loop on the backside of the counter that helps keep it secure in the hand. There are two different-colored counter windows; one is labeled “home” and the other “away.” Each of the counter windows can record up to 4 digits of data, which is more than enough for even the most serious coach. The best feature of this product is the price point. Good quality at such a good price is very difficult to come by.

A bit bulky...
... but gets the job done. Wish there was a unique ‘texture’ to each side to ensure that it doesn’t get flipped accidentally and the pitch count is attributed to the correct team. This happened a couple of times.

Great for therapy
I bought this to use in speech therapy for students who are working on stuttering or clear speech. I can use one end for "mistakes" and the other end for "clear speech". This counter works great for that! It fits nicely in my hand and it is easy to access both counter tabs. The only thing I would add is something to discriminate by touch, like a raised bump on one of the counter tabs. Maybe I could do that myself with nail polish or super glue.

Literally not assembled from factory (UPDATED second unit)
Item arrived as expected and in a blister-pack undamaged. Upon removal from blister-pack, the unit seemed "loose" in my hand. As I attempted to operate one of the clickers, the button failed to move and seemed to be attached to nothing inside the unit as it was hanging freely and had no resistance. The opposite button seemed to work normally. Upon further inspection it became obvious that the screws holding the two halves of the unit together were not even connected on one side of the unit and thus the internal components had come free. Return is in process with seller, but the unit clearly left the factory dysfunctional. UPDATE: I received a replacement unit. This one was also not completely sealed at the seam, but at least wasn't falling apart in my hand. It seemed functional so I tried it out for a few games (I used it as a score keeper for fast pace 7v7 lacrosse games). After one game it was obvious this unit was not working well. Further inspection showed that 2 of the chassis screws were stripped and I was not able to tighten the unit. After a 2nd game, the unit no longer functioned. 0 for 2 on this unit. Stay away. What's worse is that the other brands out there look like they are OEMs and rebranded so I don't feel comfortable with any that even appear similar to this unit.

Heavier than other pitch counters but worth its reliability and convenience.
Used the Easton Dual Pitch Counter at youth baseball games played during Spring Rec and travel ball season - approximately 45 games, so far. Was responsible for tracking both home and visitor pitchers, the pitch counter has held up very well thus far. A little heavier than other, cheaply made pitch counters but a fair trade off for its reliability and convenience. Have recommended the Easton Dual Pitch Counter to others and would purchase again in the future.

First one arrived and sent back the same day as only one of the clickers working. Replacement came and looked ok. I am a doorman in a club and although one side worked, the other side jumped numbers randomly and not one by one. Sent the capacity figures wildly out of scale. It has one job to do, to tally numbers and it fails to do that. Refund inbound.
