You wonโt regret it, order now while on sale!
Let me start out by saying I donโt think I have ever left a review on anything before really. But this thing is great!!! I have a holster that will accept a TLR-1, but I wanted to try this one out because of the wireless charging. It fits great in the safariland as if it were made to accept it, they did a great job at getting the dimensions close to the competitors, so you donโt have to get another holster for it. Iโm really glad I did! Unfortunately, when I bought it I paid full pop for it, but it was worth the $100! I saw yesterday the Baldr pro r was on sale, but forgot to order it, so when it goes on sale again I will definitely be ordering it. Iโm a huge fan of this light. It has two brightness settings, and on the brightest setting I think it stays continuously bright for about 20 min of use, then dims out just a little bit. However, itโs still bright. It charges really quick and has a magnetic charger so you donโt have to remove it to charge it, just throw it on the counter and wait a little bit. The charger will glow red for charging, and glow green when itโs fully charged. I had seen good and bad reviews, but I wanted to try it out for myself. The biggest reason was I liked the switch and the charging. The switch is really great, has some tactile feedback, and is ambi. Also if you have a P320 M17/18 it matches the slide really well! Itโs not exact by any means, but itโs close enough to look really sharp! I also like the way it attaches to the rail. You can loosen the clasp, and then push it in to fit it on either rail, then Al you do is turn it to tighten and lock it in place. It hasnโt come loose for the past month. It also came with adapter for different rail usage. I would recommend it to anyone interested, or curious! As of today, the 12th, itโs on sale I believe. You can get this light for half of what a TLR-1 HL will run you. Quit reading these reviews and debating it, just order it!

Compact Powerhouse โ Bright, Durable, and Rechargeable
As someone who owns multiple weapon lights, I can say the OLIGHT PL-3R Valkyrie is one of the best value tactical lights Iโve used in this price range. Brightness & Performance: This thing is bright. At 1500 lumens on high, it lights up everything in front of you with a tight, focused beam and solid spill. Perfect for low-light training, home defense, or duty use. The strobe mode is intense and disorientingโdefinitely a plus for defensive scenarios. Rechargeable Convenience: The built-in rechargeable battery is a game changer. No more fumbling with CR123s or carrying spares. The magnetic USB charging cable is slick and charges fast. Great for regular use or tossing on the charger between shifts or range trips. Build Quality: As with all OLIGHT products Iโve used, the PL-3R is extremely well-built. The aluminum housing is tough, water-resistant, and has survived a couple of rough drops without issue. The quick-detach mount locks on tight to my Glock 19 and AR pistol railโno wiggle, no hassle. Switching & Controls: The dual rear paddles are responsive and easy to activate, whether you're right- or left-handed. You can choose between constant on, momentary, or strobe depending on how you press. It feels intuitive and fast once you get the muscle memory down. Pros: โ Extremely bright with solid throw and spill โ Magnetic USB charging โ no battery swaps โ Tough construction, good fit & finish โ Easy-to-use ambidextrous controls โ Strobe mode for tactical use โ Fits most Picatinny and Glock-style rails Cons: โ Not the cheapest optionโbut you get what you pay for โ No brightness adjustment (just high and strobe) โ Slightly bulkier than ultra-compact lights Bottom Line: The OLIGHT PL-3R Valkyrie is a top-tier choice for anyone needing a durable, rechargeable weapon light that performs under pressure. Whether you're on the range, on duty, or just want reliable illumination at home, this light delivers. Highly recommended.

The PERFECT weapon light
WOW! What a great light for the money! Have it mounted to a Remington 870 Police Issue 12ga pump. First off, it is bright AF! I don't have a way of measuring lumens, but it sure has heck LOOKS like 1500 lumens to me. And, after all, that's what really matters. Secondly - they put some REAL thought into how it operates: Love love love the recharge cord! Magnetically attaches to the outside of the light so you can just keep it plugged in at all times. If you need to grab your weapon in a hurry, just grab it and go. The magnet disconnects and you have a light that is fully charged. No more swapping batteries. No more dead or weak battery just when you need it the most. Want an off/off function like a regular flashlight? No problem, click either side button (for left or right handed operation) once - on. Click again - off. Just like you'd expect. Want a momentary on function? No problem, press and hold either button. The light stays on as long as you hold it. And when you release? IT GOES OFF! (wonderful) Want a strobe function? Forget counting the clicks like those cheesy cheap flashlights. Press both buttons at the same time and it strobes. Strobe stays on until you press either button again. It does not support a paddle switch but I didn't want one of those. Highly recommend.

Fits on all firearms
I was really amazed with this light the quality is amazing.I have it on my Glock 19 and fit very well. Thereโs a switch on both sides so if youโre left-handed or right handed works great. The light is very visibility at night I did not notice that hot of heat to be worried itโs very good for your home defense flashlight and it fits very good inside my holster would recommend going with this way for a cheaper route

Good but flawed
First this appears to be a great light: 1) bright 2) easy to function, strobe, flash, stay-on 3) charges easily and on a charge holds a long time The downsides: 1) hard to find compatible holsters 2) as I consider buying another one...price keeps going up making it NOT an option anymore as it's not a value option especially since the holster compatibility is non-existent.

Great for "pistols"
This is actually my third PL-3; I liked the first two enough to get another for a different platform. The first PL-3R lives on an 11.5 and this one is going on a PCC set up. The second is the replaceable battery version sitting on a 1911. I highly recommend getting the pressure pad to get the most out of the capabilities (sadly the CR123 version cannot use the pressure pad). One thing I like with these is that they really help keep the weight down on a longer platform. I run Inforce lights on a couple 10.5's for the easy switch between white light and IR, but the PL-3R is a lighter option where I only need white light and I can use a right side mounting with the pressure pad sitting in a natural position for a C clamp. (I do use a ranger band wrapped around the light to prevent the magnetic mount for the pressure pad from getting dislodged - just a failsafe.) The light is definitely powerful enough to get PID at 100 yards plus on full power while the reduced output is great for closer range (in-home). If you leave this constant on, it does heat up pretty good after 5-10 minutes - not burning, but uncomfortable. I typically only use the light in short bursts so I've never had an issue with heat build up and the few times where I did have it on for extended periods of time, the heat never bothered me out on handguard. I actually prefer the Valkyrie mini for pistols and have a couple of those as it can be difficult to find holsters that will fit the PL-3R (and I got a score on some holsters for the mini). This is a good light for your pistol, just know you're going to go hunting for holsters and the selection is greatly reduced. The thing I would most like to see in the PL-3R is a dual fuel capability that accepts the pressure pad. I know there is some Olight hate out there, but I've got PL-3's, PL mini 2's, Odins, and camp lights that have all been great for me. Not what I would have wanted or trusted when running around in the sand and the rocks, but they've done well here at home.
